Hi guys,

First post here.
I just bought my first pin: a Star Trek TNG that's in pretty good shape and I couldn't be happier.

It does however have some small problems.
- some bulbs in the back box don't seem to get power (easily fixed)
- small piece of plastic missing (easily replaced)
- Borg lock not working on rare occasions (I've already read some possible fixes)
- On very rare occasions the machine fails to locate a ball and goes berserk for a couple of seconds (I will try cleaning the optos)

But there one weird thing: sometimes there's no target for a probe launch. As in, no target lights up while the ball is in the gun. All the lights work, so I don't get it. If I guess the wrong target, the correct target lights up for a split second.
I can't find any info on this. Is this normal behaviour or is there something wrong with my machine?
I'm on LX-5. Maybe a ROM upgrade might solve the issue? If yes, Can i just buy LX-7 without needing to upgrade the sound ROMs?

Also, I'm trying to resist buying lane extenders and learn proper nudging, but damn... On factory settings this is a bloody hard machine!

This also happened during a Battle Simulation in the meantime, so it doesn't seem to be limited to probe launches.
