Ribbon cable from CPU to Aux board is twisted.
Red tracer should be up on J204 CPU board side (this is correct in the pictures) and to the left on the Aux board (in the pictures it is to the right).

Thats not what I see, I see the cable twisted only on one end.
Pin 1 is at the top of the CPU board connector which is where the red tracer is on the ribbon cable (correct).
Pin 1 is on the left of the aux board connector and the red tracer is on the right (backwards). OP - try swapping the orientation of the ribbon cable connector on the aux board end of the ribbon cable.

Thanks for the picture.... yet another error in the manual. The manual shows pin 1 at the top.
