Quoted from actionfigureheav:When I unplug J130 on the driver board, the coil doesn't lock on anymore.
Does that prove that the transistor is not the problem? Or just the opposite?
I'm trying to avoid removing the driver board to test the transistors because I cannot easily get to the transistor to test it in game.
It really doesn't prove much of anything unfortunately but you should be able to test for a shorted transistor with the board installed pretty easily, just test resistance to ground from the large tab of the transistor. If it's not the main driver transistor it's almost certainly the pre-driver.
