I got this mod and it looks awesome! The only minor problem I had was that my back 2 screws on the Vengence are now too short. I tried all the hardware stores and can't find them. Has this happened to anyone else and if so where were you able to find longer ones?
Its not going to fall off or anything but I would just rather have screws in there than empty holes.

i'm wondering if you have the wrong screws in the back. did you try swapping them with the other screws? in the front?
mine always fit perfectly. they should fit, can't remember someone else having that problem.

Was going to respond the same thing. The screws are all different lengths for their corresponding spots.

I just checked again to make sure I wasn't crazy (that is always a possibility) and the very front 2 are shorter and different. The back 4 on mine are all the same length. My middle 2 fit fine but my back 2 are now too short. Are yours different sizes?
Even pushing down slightly on the ship to try to just get them to start at all doesn't work. They just won't catch and I don't want to push too hard and break them.
I take it no one else is having this issue?

Just take one to the corner hardware store and get a couple of longer ones, 25 cents tops.

Had the exactly same issue. I just pressed a little more until finally it caught then turned maybe once or so. nothing broken, but I think those screws should be longer. Or the ring thinner.
since you are the second one letting me know, i'm gonna try to get my hands on longer screws and include them with the kit.

Meh... if only 2 out of how many u sold have this issue, I wouldn't change screws. Check your ring thickness. See if that changed from the first ones.
Anyway, for me, your screws worked. Just had to force the plastic a bit more. That's why I didn't say anything.

Installed one for a friend on Friday evening with the help of another Pinsider. Again, no screw issue.
Product looks great in both blue and red variant.

so this is how many i can built with the parts i have in stock before the holidays, after that it will be mid/late january.
what will be available?
5 red
4 blue.
let me know with a pm so i can save one for you.
next batch will be in mid/late january, i can also put names on the list and save your spot for the next batch.
i will include 2 extra screws for the back, just in case it's needed.
for those who wants to know.
the stock screws in the back are 6-32 x 1/2
the new screws will be 6-32 x 5/8

So in for 1. Leaning red but like blue also. Tough to decide. Red is like phaser fire but blue lights it up very trek like. I'll sleep on it then PM

red makes it look like it's charging phasers when pulsing, it's very ''red alert''.
well, the blue you said and a bigger/brighter impact also when flashing and pulsing.
Having installed both and playing with both. Blue is naturally much brighter than the red.
The red is almost muted in the sense of distraction. The blue is bright and noticeable. The red is more subtle

Beatmaster, you are welcome. I thought the same thing. The white flasher just isn't cutting it after re watching my video after I completed it. Great Mod.
