Hi Pinside family,

Got a question does your ST have this little soft clear rubber on the playfield near the lowest pop bumper? never noticed this until the pop bumper light when dim on me, and I was back there. hidden little thing!

I don't see it in my owners manual as a part. It seems to mess with my ball and stop some pops.

Does not seem like a factory part.

Quoted from Spitfiren8:

This is a commin fix for ball hang ups. I implemented something similar when i set mine up out of the box.

There has to be something better than putting a screw in a playfield... ugh...

Quoted from ktrain315:

Is that screwed into the playfield?

yes, unfortunately it is. I never saw it when I bought the game, its fairly well hidden.

Quoted from gunstarhero:

Nothing there on mine but I could probably use it, the ball does like to come to rest
there.

Thanks for checking and providing feedback.

Quoted from Buzz:

No. Mine appears to be just that stupid screw head.

Thanks for checking and providing feedback.

Quoted from RobKnapp:

WRONG.
The screw head absolutely effect game play 100% . Fix is needed and simple .

Thanks for the Video,

Quoted from ktrain315:

Yeah I said I was wrong and edited already, calm down

no worries Ktrain315,

everyone.... ( I myself am guilty of getting heated on here) guys in the spirit of keeping the thread useful I'd rather focus on a better fix, its messing with my pop bumpers, its not smooth at all bouncing around up there.

possible fixes:
fat o-ring (squeezed under the screw head)
Stern post (replace the screw entirely)
felt/rubber bumper dot (as per RobKnapp's vid)
?

Thanks Ktrain, makes sense to search for ball stuck vs ST pop bumper screw.
