I don't think mine has ever hit that top of the plunger lane. The ball would have to be flying out of the warp to make it that far in the air. Waxing definitely affects things negatively for a while. Ball goes way too fast for the first bunch of games. I've tried adjusting my warp ramp in the past but have not noticed too much difference. Sometimes the ball comes down smooth other times not. Probably has more to do with ball speed/spin than position.
