Simply put.
Which would you buy today?
Having said that, because ST Pro is in shorter supply, they are charging $400 more for it.

Tough one. Two very good games. At the same price, would vote for ST. But no way I would pay more for it.

Similar play pick theme you like best also consider how far along code ST/GOT is

#4 8 years ago

Let me add that I have never seen Game of Thrones but the playfield looks awesome

ST Pro is a known. Code is mostly finished and we know what it is. GOT could be great but could be not, its' a toss up. I own a ST Pro and love it. The modes make you have to shoot all different shots which makes it harder even though it is a relatively easy game. I have about 40-50 games on a GOT Pro and didn't think a whole lot of it but then again it's not done. If you're a safe bet kind of person then go with ST Pro, if you're a gamblin' man then go with GOT.

Run down to Lanes & Games in Cambridge, MA. They have the Pro. I ended up ordering one after I played it a few times.

I am not truly qualified to answer your quarry as I have not played GOT pro. But If you are serious about a purchase . I own a STERN Star Trek LE . And it is a great pinball machine . I would have to recommend purchasing a STERN Star Trek pro .

Just thinking out loud here but Game of Thrones runs on the spike system.
Now what will that do for me not really much but it's nice to have new hardware.
I have played Star Trek pro and love it. honestly that's which way I'm leaning.

You have to play them. I was not impressed with GOT pro after a few plays. It played fast but nothing seemed exciting about gameplay. I've never watch GOT so maybe it helps to be a fan. I'm not a big ST fan but do like scifi stuff. When I first played ST, I loved it. It's easy to learn the basic rules and has enough depth for advanced players. I didn't have a clue what was going on in GOT. It's probably a great game once you figure it all out but I just don't see it yet.

Well you answered your own question right there! If you love playing Star Trek Pro and you are in the market for a game around that range, buy that! Always go for the game you love over the unknown.

Ive only played ST a few times. I would someday like to put one in my collection, but right now that slot is taking by GOT. I think I like the layout better in ST however, just not the theme.

If you are considering whether to buy a game you have played and love, or a game that you have not played and not sure if you love, you should always go with the one you've played. NIB prices are too high to gamble on and possibly end up with a game you do not like.

Got will have higher resale for a year or longer

ST is just plain awesomeness, whether the Pro Pre, or LE. You can't go wrong there. Add a shaker motor and it gets even better.

GoT is more awesomeness, but I recommend playing it quite a bit before purchasing. It has longer ball times like LOTR and a similar fan layout. Code is not bad, but not finished either. SPIKE allows for better light show and faster dot animations.

Play both and decide for yourself. It is the best way...

I'm in the same boat, just sold a machine and I'm looking for something new and can't decide. I've got bigger issues as my list of possible is bigger.
Got pro...Steve richie/new spike system
St pro.... Steve richie/killer theme
Twd pro... code/code/theme
Woz.....bpmem/?
As I like them all my decision is probably gonna come down to.
which one I can find/and@what cost.

Star trek it is.
Juat loaded it nib in the back of my truck.
Thank you everyone for helping me make up my mind.

For me GoT easy. But of course my brother just got a ST the other week

But other than that, I would still pick GoT because I'm more familiar with ST and would want something new.

But all that matters is you got a brand new game to play...enjoy!

Where the heck can you get a NIB in less than an hour of deciding?

As long as you live an hour away from a dealer.

I actually posted the question from work about 3 hours away.
I went there for Star Trek, but when they said they had GOT I figured it was worth asking others opinions.
I'm stI'll 1 hour from home.

Due to its more interesting code I'd go GOT probably but a close call on this one. Both a blast to play.
