The layout of Metallica is very similar to IM, but I never think about that when playing them. The rules and the audio are just completely different. Mostly I just think "how can I keep the damned ball from draining?"
Two questions:
1) what is a mirror blade?
2) if the LE has the red DMD (really horrible looking on the Pro I played today), is there a stock blue display that can be swapped in?
The game would have looked so cool with a small LCD there ...

1) mirror blade is 0.8mm thick stainless steel cut panel that goes on the side walls of the cabinet that light can reflect off to bling up and brighten the playfield a little more.
2) stern do have a blue dmd but pay extra

A lot extra! they had a special back in March for 179.99. I think there back up to 219.99. X-pins are more. If you get one from Stern if they don't send the blue shield buy one from x-pin. It makes it look 100 times better.
Quoted from swampfire:I'm guessing they'll hire one actor to do custom speech, with movie clips for the rest of them. That's what they did with IM and Avatar, and I love that approach. Much better than hiring imitators.
Best case scenario: Simon Pegg (Scotty) is to ST what Gimli was to LOTR.
"He cannae hit the ball, cap'n!"
TSPP has some taunts after the outlane drains and low points. And of course during locking alien invasion...
"worst ball ever"
Nelsons "haha"
and several others I can't remember...Crap.
