Still waiting too...should be soon. However, my ramp protectors from Freddy's and Pinball Refinery's Nebula mod both arrived today. 
Both are fantastic! The Nebula mod is very cool and I suspect it will complement this blackout mod nicely.

Installed it. Works great.
As a TWD LE owner, this makes Klingon a lot like Horde. Dark and moody. Not only is the laser more visible, but the Klingon lightshow which is one of the best in the game is on full display.
Can make tracking the ball more difficult (likely why Stern decided to keep the lights on through software), but for this one mode I think it is good to add that bit of difficulty and enhance the overall experience.

Mod just arrived today.
I don't really understand those instructions. Could you be more specific? Where does the board go? Do we use any existing wires or just the cable supplied?
I need a few more instructions since I don't even know where this is supposed to be mounted? Any pics or instructions would be appreciated. Thanks.

do you find the original LED board at the middle of the play field
remove the original connector
place the new pcb at the led pcb
connect the original cable
connect the new 2 pin cable between the laser motor cable
thats it

Crack open your manual. CN-15 that he references is the board number. Your manual will show you which one it is.
Sorry for being dense, but what/how do I connect this at the laser area? What does it connect to?
Does anyone have any better pictures, I have no idea where this is supposed to attact to.
Also not sure where the board goes.
