Not sure how expensive those relays are, but try this to make it cheaper and all solid state..use back to back fets to control the ac load. There are plenty of online examples.

This was developed before the 1.5 code update that darkened the G.I. during the Klingon Multiball intro. This completely turns off the G.I. while the laser is active. It can also be set to keep the inlane lamps on while turning off the remaining G.I. It's pretty slick.

The GI lights turn back on after the Klingon MB intro with the current code. I think this mod is to keep them off the entire time the laser is on, which would be very cool.
