I recently bought a set of ships that I wanted to mount in my game . The ornaments are from 1994 or so , I have installed leds in my games before using resisters , shrink wrap , solder, ali clips , etc ..Is there an easy way of adding lights , or using the existing lights already in them . They are wired to go into a strand of Christmas lights. These ships are pretty small, 4 or 5 inches , not much room for drilling or anything else for that matter . Any help would be appreciated, thx guys

Here is a start.

I'm looking to do the same but need mounting ideas for the enterprise and confirmation on what resister to add.

I just completed this a few days ago using the guide that mbob posted.

Fairly straightforward.

The wiki post doesn't cover the Enterprise. Is a resistor recommended?

Sorry, no clue. I didn't add the Enterprise.

Quoted from BOBCADE:

I did hook up the Enterprise first directly to the GI and after a few hours the Enterprise looked like been under faserfire, eg melted ....

So took another Enterprise and did add a resistor but frankly speaking, dont know the value any more and sold it over a year ago

So be warned but not really helped

You have the determine the voltage supplied by the light strand. For the 2010 hallmark enterprise is runs off of 4.5v so I had a rectifier made for it. The rectifier then allows for it to be hooked up to the flashers or the GI circuit and works perfectly.

I used a 1/4 watt , 100 ohm resister on some single leds I mounted for some accent lights I used on my machines ..hooked up to the gi.....works fine
