I'm on the pre-order hype train for Ritchie's Star Trek. Does that count?

Quoted from The_Dude_Abides:Only things out are rumors. Most of them indicate there will be one pin between now and when we see Star Trek. I've heard Star Trek may be released in October but if there are issues slowing down the project as rumored it could be longer. It has also been rumored that at least one model would have an LCD about the size of the large Sega DMDs and that it will be on the new operating system Stern is working on. Of course nothing concrete and there won't likely be until its release or a few days before. They don't want to hurt sales of their current new releases. No price range have been released.
Anyhow I am hoping to join this members only club as soon as it is released. Okay now I will get my ass out of your club. PS I love STTNG.
I'm doubting that ST will have an LCD based on the latest rumors. Would be kind of cool if it did though.
Quoted from Jean-Luc-Picard:Ok, I did not take any pics..... But.... I really don't want to say anything if I cant say anything nice, but.... However, I will say one thing. The machine was put onsite brand new 2 weeks ago. It already is plastered with HUGE pits. The PF is almost shot already. I don't know if the Pro comes with just wax but this PF will be destroyed in a few more months. When I say "Pits" I mean crater sized and deep. How could a machine get so beaten in 14 days?
Crater sized and deep. Yeah, right.
Reality check:

Quoted from The_Dude_Abides:The reality is the newer the pin the more noticeable the small dents on the field are. Perhaps that is why it seemed so pronounced to you. Once it gets more play they are less noticeable.
Exactly.
I had a HUO NGG that had very few plays on it when I got it. Someone who looked at it asked how I could be sure it was HUO when there were dimples in the PF. They had a hard time believing me when I told them that that actually would *support* the fact that it had very few plays on it for a pin from the 90's.
