I love seeing the four together like that!

When I was playing last night, I saw a broken piece of plastic land in the left orbit , this fragment came from plastic -54 or full P/N 830-6929-54
Does anyone know where I can buy this individual plastic, or have one sitting around that they wouldn't mind parting with?
I REALLY don't want to buy a full plastic set for this one piece.

And an LE at that, very nice!
Quoted from Moeman65:Any one know where I can get a translite for my Star Trek like the one in this pict. #7823?
If they even exist, I believe you can ONLY get one from your distributor, and only if you are a registered LE owner, and you may still need pics of the broken one. I tried to get one when I purchased my NIB LE ... no dice.
Quoted from Mr_Outlane:IMO, the nicest LE ever made!
I agree, Stern really knocked it out of the park with this one. IMO this is the ONLY LE Stern produced that was actually worth the additional cost over the Premium Edition.
Quoted from matbkk:What are your thoughts ?Is it possible ? What would be the time and budget ?
First...I'm not going to be a pessimist and am only providing information here.
Even if the playfield was complete and operational, this would take considerable cash and effort. There isn't enough pictures for me to tell what all is missing, but from the limited image below the playfield, at a minimum you are missing:
1) The entire solenoid harness and all coils...this coils are obtainable (21 coils) but the harness is a machine specific part that you will have to build. (no estimated cost)
2) the entire left cannon assembly.
3) the eddy sensor boards and sensors
4) the motor interface boards
A new cabinet with all the artwork can be purchased for $2100 ( this does not include the speaker panel, speakers, powerbox, buttons, flipper mechs, coin door interface board, coindoor, backglass, lockdown bar, or any other hardware)
A new set of boards for the backbox is going to run you around $1000
The new STTNG translite is no longer obtainable but you might find a used one for $100
A new transformer ... good luck. estimate $350 if you can find one.
You are likely over $5000 just to replace missing parts on a machine that can be found in working condition for $3500-$4500.
Quoted from BobC:Has anybody repaired these wires?
Not yet, but I need to...Removing the ship looked like a difficult task so I kicked that can down the road.
Quoted from marspinball:Who makes the best, most appropriate side blades for sttng. Also need something for the back board.
Post pics!
I also went with the Borg Backboard, that I purchased from https://www.pinballdecals.com/PartsByGamePages/STTNG_Page.html
Remember, as with any decal the better you prep the surface the better the end result will be.
Prep ... silky smooth;

I'll bet you are right.
look for a broken wire here:

Quoted from Mathazar:I don't see this cap on the schematic but it looks factory (this is my first time opening up a ST:TNG). Is this cap truly needed? I'll replace it if so....
It is factory installed ...

This is a great product but wouldn't it be better if products were engineered to perform as intended to start with? Somewhere along the line Cost became the #1 engineering priority when it is supposed to be function.

Can also consider putting a UV/Glare film on your windows/doors to keep the harmful rays out.

MINI COIL AND CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY for Stern STAR TREK
#511-7510-00
Your distributor should be able to get these once Stern begins shipping parts again.
Quoted from DaveH:Best to check with Chas at Stern, or a distributor. But more likely, Chas. The ones on my MET literally fell off the game, and I got a set directly through Stern for just the backbox.
Same thing happened on my MET and Chaz sent me new ones after send him pics of the peeling decals; however, I'm the original owner and the machine was under warranty at the time, but it never hurts to ask since there was know issues with this at the time this machine was built. Worst case scenario, get with your local distributor just as DaveH recommended as they will usually be your most cost effective provider.
Quoted from hoby1:It's funny as last week I only Pais 50 each WTF
