    Yes, first pay attention to the display blanking signal (orange wire), comes from the MPU board J1 pin 10 and goes to all displays on pin 10 of the display connector. A problem with it can cause ghosting like you're seeing.

    Also check that the start button switch contacts aren't shorting to the metal door which can cause display issues.
