Haven’t really got into pulling boards or looking at various issues yet, but I wanted to throw this out there first and see if anybody could predict what’s my problem is with this display?

Lights on the DMD dance about like antimated fire as the DMD tries to interpret the data. These images are from the very start up of the machine (In the attract mode)as you play a game the lights start moving around and you can tell that it’s trying to process the data.

Quoted from MarAlb:

Looks like one of the 33k resistors (R95) has gone to heaven.

Located where? On the DMD board itself?

Quoted from MarAlb:

R95 is on the displayboard itself. You can't miss it.

As I research this I am seeing that this is a common issue. It is a 33k 1/2 watt resistor.
I am wondering if it would be better to upgrade to a 33k 1 watt resistor?

Yep, found it and replaced it and that was the problem. All but one thing. The right half of the top line is out.

I am not sure if this is the issue or not but the person before me replaced a resistor at R195 and it looks a bit of crap job. Any chance R195 has something to do with my dead top line.

Quoted from Milltown:

Mine had a similar issue . Ended up being the disply rom..

I am going to replace the resistor at R195 first. It is directly linked to the top right line so maybe that is this issue. Possibly another bad resistor at that point. If so something is causing it to go out.

Unfortunately no. Half of the top line is still out afterthe resistor.
