I recently purchased a Gottlieb Star Race pinball machine. It is not in working order. My brother and I started going through the machine and found that I am missing a chip on one of the boards. I believe it is a 40 pin spider chip TC1. What I’m wondering if these are just a generic chip or is there a specific numbered one I need to purchase. Pictures for reference. Thank you.

I’m just trying to figure out why it is not working and it seemed that a missing chip might be the problem. I’m not very electrical savvy. So I’m not even sure what the chip does.

The back box lights turn on. The bulb between the flippers work and the sound comes on for about two seconds intermittently. I checked the test spots on the power board and they seem good the fuses are good. Not sure of what to search for next.

New driver board and new mpu board. Still not working.

All the lights are working. The sound byte comes on about every three minutes and does a short two second loop. The pop up coil hits. Where is the kill switch on the coin door. I have a problem that the coin door doesn’t completely shut all the way sometimes. I have to get a new locking mechanism.

Power supply checks out. All the rest points are dead on.

Yes. I believe the top right corner one is reading zeroes.
