So with all the talk of that $65000 TZ PROTOTYPE. What would a Star Light Prototype be worth? It is the only one on the planet with System 9 boards. It is in great shape with a perfect backglass and clearcoted. I’m not here to see if it’s worth $65000 or anything crazy like the other guy. I just want a fair honest opinion.

One regular sold for 4500 euros in Germany in collector condition. I would guess this price range assuming the shape.
    This pin has great art.

I love this game, but would never appraise a prototype without playing it. Sometimes posts or shots get adjusted based on a poor-playing prototype. Theater of Magic’s inner loop comes to mind. Proto differences can be cool & unique, but sometimes they can suck. I sold a proto Jokerz a few years ago for maybe a hundred bucks over what a production model goes for. Red boards, several minor art changes, played exactly like production.

Nice looking game. They made so few of these, I'm not really sure the prototype matters or not. I assume it plays just like the other ones. That being said, great looking game made during the "Dark time" for pinball. No drop targets, ramps, or anything extra. This game got bumped to put Space Shuttle on the assembly line, which is why they made so few.

The game plays phenomenal and is super fast!

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay

$4,000 or less - it would likely sell within 1 - 2 weeks.
    More than $4,000 - $5,000 - 1-3 months possibly.
$5,001 or more: Begin typical Pinside debate (AKA: Crapstorm).

One guy's opinion, who loves this generation of pinball.

Games have come a long way in value. I don't remember what I paid for mine but that was in 1999, I do know it was a few hundred bucks along with a bunch of other stuff. For a William's collector, it may be a grail and they may pay up. If I did need this game to compete my William's collection, I would offer $6-7k. I just don't want to hunt it down like I used to. Haha.

It's a really cool example. Thanks for sharing. I know the game in this day in age requires much more depth for people to be happy. So the audience is limited to people that want rare or unobtainable things. You would have a buyer at a nice number I'd say.

    Thanks again. So cool!

Here’s my old one. What kind of boards did it have?

    Quoted from embryonjohn:

What kind of boards did it have?

Those are definitely System 7 boards.
