The plan:
Playfield swap.
Clean up nasty parts.
Fix and repaint cabinet.
Dial it in.
Play.
Looks like a great candidate for a restore. Original spinners too. Keep us updated. Great game

Breaking it down.
Coin door had a credit button installed. Ugh, i hate that. Will look for a used door frame or just weld a piece on there.

You won't but in Redketchup SG thread, you will find the files for printing.
Thanks for the tip.

This is a repro from "greatwichjohn" in Halifax Canada.
Quoted from TKDalumni:Playfield swap to? NOS? Repro?
From what I can see if your original playfield it looks to be in excellent shape. Why not restore and keep original? I’d much rather have that if it were me doing my own
That's a valid point. If i had the skills to airbrush and clear coat playfields i'd probably do it but alas i do not. I also don't want to wait several months or years for another place to do it. HSA was pretty fast but they aren't doing it anymore. Ron K is a mondo doosh so i'll never work with him again. After its stripped i'll place the original next to the repro as now i'm curious about the blues.
More detailed pix of the PF. You can see a very unsuccessful attempt by a previous owner to touch it up.

Might just be the lighting on that pic. Heres a couple more pix.

Here is something I have done with the pop caps. Necessity is mother of invention.

I don't know what it is about this game but I am enamored with it. I mean, I'm sure it's the girl but there's just something more about it. Maybe the deep blue playfield, maybe the warm backglass. I would like to have one some day just for the beauty of it.
Unfortunately you are correct. All of the blues are off. It still looks great, but definitely off.
Quoted from patrickvc:The repro blues on the Greatwich playfields are way too light.
Actually, EVERY color seems to be off. Red, blue, yellow, tan etc. The good news is, once installed, the new playfield won't ever be sitting right next to the old one
Hard to say about all of the colors since we are comparing fresh ink to ink under ancient amber clearcoat which has shifted everything towards yellow. The background darker blue is definitely way off, though. That said, you are totally correct about the fact that it will look good when done, especially without an original to compare it to side by side. (Plus the fact that all but a tiny handful of people even know the game well enough to know something like that.)

Is your apron the dark blue to match the dark blue on your play field? Or do you have the light colored play apron?
Quoted from PACMAN:Anyone remake these funky rounded square targets? Tried to freshen them up with bleach white but still not happy.
