That picture is an embarrassment. Stern charges 7k+ for pins and cannot buy 20 anti-fatigue mats for employees standing on hard concrete for hours at a time. Stern should be ashamed of itself. Pathetic.
Quoted from gambit3113:It's a warehouse. Not a Turkish bath. Should they really be ashamed? Really? Give me a break.
yes, they should.
Quoted from TaylorVA:yes, they should.
Ok then. I am sure they will get to that, just as soon as they are done setting up the inversion tables and the tanning beds for their manual laborers. One needless amenity at a time, please.
I've seen this time and time again at many companies. Warehouse is run like a sweat shop, old equipment, hard to get anything upgraded etc... Owners and their buddies, jet set around like royalty, staying at the Four Seasons, drinking, eating. Modern slavery as usual.

That did not come across right. I meant an actual mat, not a pair of flip flops.
I would not say they should be ashamed, but if management sees that the employees are creating makeshift mats they are responsible for the workers safety. If they are required to ensure they are safe. The prolonged standing can cause problems and they could be opening themselves up to problems by not addressing that. That applies to all employers, not just Stern. For all we know they may have already addressed it with mats. I am glad to see they are putting some time on the machines.

These are high grade leather sandals.
Quoted from gambit3113:Oh. How I missed this viper pit.
Good to see you back, Gambit. I missed your posts.
