I guess. Until it's smashed flat after 5 seconds.

This would be my guess as well. I'm sure it won't last long though.

OSHA anti-fatigue mat...

#10 11 years ago

I hope there's a piece of cardboard at Gameworks in Schaumburg ASAP.

#11 11 years ago

You would think they would put the backglass in or unplug the fluorescent tube!o Bright light shining in your face while you are trying to play!

#12 11 years ago

Get your cardboard mat mods from me. Limited supply only. Made from specially recycled paper. Send $100 via paypal to ivabiggun dot com. For $100 more, I will include an RGB LED mat mod kit. Buy a complete set for all of your games.

The guy on the left in the black shirt is holding a video camera. We may get some video soon.

#14 11 years ago

What I really want is video of these cardboard mats in action!!!!

#15 11 years ago

Insider info- I hear the mod comes with the pin! There will be perforations on the box. Just cut it out!

#16 11 years ago

It's a trap door. If you say anything bad about the quality of the machine.........off you go

#17 11 years ago

Haha, the guy with the video camera makes me feel like this isn't the norm for testing, like they set this up and want to show it off....

#18 11 years ago

Just in!

Bubble wrap mod is here!

Nike shoes is a must too it's in the collective agreement

#20 11 years ago

Can you imagine these employees complaining that their feet hurt from standing on concrete being forced to play an unreleased pin. Man Stern you slave drivers.......

#21 11 years ago

OMG is the quality getting so sketchy that they feel the need to playtest the pins for so long that the players need this kind of support?

wow

#22 11 years ago

I'm surprised they aren't wearing cotton gloves to prevent wear/ scratching...

#23 11 years ago

I was under the impression that games did not ever have legs attached to them in the factory. I thought they used those rolling carts to move the cabs along and then straight into the box with new never attached legs.

#24 11 years ago

I'm sure these particular machines won't be sold as new, probably use them for testing/debugging, etc. then used as demos at shows and PR events.

#25 11 years ago

Sorry, guys. The cardboard mat mod only comes with the MOPLE, so you're all SOL.

Thank God - now the price is justified!

#27 11 years ago

Stern Employee- "As If we didn't have to spend all day putting these rich boy toys together, now your going to make us stand here and play them? Either you carpet this hard ass floor or we're goin' on strike!"

#28 11 years ago

They look better than the current mat mod douch...er...craze that's going on.

Why would you think that? Everyone is always asking for quality control. Playing a few games on each machine before it gets packed up is a part of quality control, that is how problems are found. They are still new.

Yeah, how often can you buy a new car that hasn't been test driven by somebody else first?

I meant these machines in the photos in particular since the legs are already bolted on. The production machines that are sold are tested on the racks as trebor stated. I saw this at the factory when I took the tour during pin expo.

#32 11 years ago

Does not say that all machines are played / tested in this manner.

Cardboard from "the box is shipping" thread?

#34 11 years ago

The mats help them get a running start when INS raids the place!

In all seriousness, my 5/8" anti-fatigue mats are some of my favorite mods.

#37 11 years ago

The cardboard mat will be sold extra through your local distributor for $199.00 plus tax. The mat will be included for LE buyers (cut out dotted line printed on inside of shipping box) and will be labeled with a big "M" to enhance the limited edition it is meant to be.

#38 11 years ago

Matt mod already sold out since this post =/

If you were given pre order gaurantees that you would get one sorry. =/

I kid I kid!

#39 11 years ago

Am I crazy? I don't see a guy holding a camera...

#40 11 years ago

These are the basterdized american version of the flying carpet. Nope...they don't float folks. They don't even hover! I heard they weren't even corrugated.

These are Rainbow sandals made in San Clemente Ca. They are the best available. I live in these things. I have a couple pairs in different states of wear. They sell so many now that they too have outsourced to China. But you can still get the ones made here. They don't have the square tag on the bottom that says made in China.
