Unfortunately Stan Lee has passed away.

    http://www.tmz.com/2018/11/12/stan-lee-dead-dies-marvel-comics/

I'll never forget the years of enjoyment I've had with so many things he was involved in. Excelsior!

    #2 5 years ago

He was a legend! Grew up reading Marvel comics. R.I.P. Stan Lee.

    #3 5 years ago

I'll be playing some extra games of Guardians tonight for Stan.

Sad day but 95 productive years on this planet is truly super hero territory.

    #11 5 years ago

now both of the greats that put marvel on the map are gone. it's hard to believe that jack kirby's been gone for over 20 years now

RIP you witty bastard. I know I've always enjoyed his cameos in the marvel movies

    R.I.P. Mr. Lee
    Nuff said....

    #17 5 years ago

I swore I would not cry when Stan died; he was such an overwhelming influence to me in my voiceover career (“spider man and his amazing friends!”) and writing, how to tell a good story.. the list is long. I did not make it.

You obviously haven’t visited too many pinside Rip threads!

“Why are we celebrating the life of some comic book guy instead of the troops!!!!” Is surely right around the corner.

Dang, what a loss for the superhero community ...

Good thing Stan was a veteran then. Served 1942-1945 after having enlisted days after Pearl Harbor. Take that, assholes!

    Another part of childhood... Gone.

    #24 5 years ago

I just cant be sad by such an incredible person making 95 and having the creative impact he had. The man was a legend and his work will live forever.

    #25 5 years ago

What an incredible life that dude lived. Still working some and being productive at 95. If only we could all be so fortunate. No need to be sad for someone that lived such a great life and seemed to really enjoy the ride.

    #26 5 years ago

Now Stan Lee ( comic creator) And Stan Winston ( special effects master) will create the ultimate movie in Heaven.

I really hated his cameos in all the Marvel films. Really takes you out of the movie when it grinds to a screeching halt as he pretends to be a FedEx man, astronaut, janitor etc.

    #28 5 years ago

And just when his cameos were getting good.

Yea? What about him as a war vet drinking with thor?

Funny animated mock cameo in 2018's Teen Titan's (A DC film) movie:

The Watcher scene was my favourite - although possibly the worst as far as for what Ben referred to

IKR... bad things happen in 3’s. Norm Breyfogle (last month), John Rogers (comic con) and now Stan Lee (the man). Crusher of a day.
    Stan was also Veteran.

that cameo is kinda deep, i love that one too.

    #37 5 years ago

    GOD Speed.

    #38 5 years ago

I think they have other cameos pre-filmed. Specific uses and general ones that can be worked in to any movie. Worst case there is CGI which has become almost scary lately with how realistic people can look. Either way the cameos aren't going away

Anybody ever see the new Solo movie with Harrison Ford?

    #39 5 years ago

Anyone have a "No Prize" from back in the day?

The Merry Marvel Marching Society will live on

Thanks for all the entertainment you gave us. RIP

Stan Lee was a great man, but the cameos sucked; Except Mall rats of course.
His life was more than the cameos, not liking them isn't throwing his life work in the trash . Jesus what are you dipshits like 16?

    #43 5 years ago

    Legend, with an amazing legacy

    #44 5 years ago

Forget the cameos, his true legacy is everything that he helped to create which brought so much enjoyment to people and now permeates almost all of society. I was never a big comic book reader but the characters are interesting and I’ve enjoyed the movies and cartoons as a kid (Ralph Bakshi Spiderman). He seemed very cool and very down to earth, wish I would have had a chance to meet him.

    #45 5 years ago

God speed Stan! Thanks for entertaining me my whole life. You're creativity sparked the imaginations of countless people all over the planet.

You need a hug, or a Snickers.

    Settle down, Beavis.
