    I would be interested to see how you light them up with the el paper. do you stick this piece on top of the wood and have to cut out the wood for illumination? or does this replaced the whole bottom panel?

    EL Paper

    the easiest way is to drill holes in the panel where the cable comes out from the EL paper to have enough space

    mount the panel with double sided mirror tape

    some users have done it without to drill holes, the housed the space between the mirror tape.

    i will NOT provide EL paper

    Is the A5 size paper big enough to cover the whole cut out on Tron? Seems like the edges aren't lit up on that photo

    On Tron (the OP used a picture of my game he got from another thread), the ends aren't covered by A5 paper. The next size up, A4, would cover it easily but costs about $50 a sheet.

    some shops offers el paper with open ends

    more solder points, not only the 2 cables

    so you can cut stripes and solder cables

    may be this helps you
