You could sandwich it in between 2 pieces of thicker cardboard, but I'm pretty confident it wouldn't have prevented the damage above. Looks like someone just stepped in the middle of the box.
Maybe add some wood for reinforcement? Im just throwing ideas out LOL.
For those located in the USA - This may be a faster option for delivery. This is what I bought.
