Hi guys, being a typical pinball nerd I love to watch the PAPA competition and tutorials a lot. One technique that comes up a lot is staging flippers, but i never heard it explained well or saw a video of this technique.

Can someone please explain to me what this means? I know it is some sort of way to help you out in multiball, but that's it.

    Thanks guys

It is when you have one of your bottom flippers engaged cradling balls, while at the same time continuing to make use of the upper flipper tied to the same button. You have to depress the flipper button enough to only engage the bottom flipper.

Ahh thank you, that explains it.

Just saw this the other night. Lyman Sheets doing it in a tournament on SM: http://vimeo.com/40960049#t=9m30s

Drat, the embedding loses the time marker. Jump to 9:30, it happens about 6 seconds later.
