Have you noticed that the multicolor shot designator (insignia) that is mounted above the warp ramp doesn't illuminate quite as well as the ones in the playfield? Would you like it to? Easy:
Here's what to do:
Step 1: Prepare these 2 parts. You will need a piece of cardboard (any but not too thick) and a piece of plastic milk jug (the thin translucent variety). Cut with scissors to these shapes (approximate is fine):
Step 2: Attach double stick tape to the back of the cardboard where it will hit the LED board:

Step 3: Pull the playfield out a bit so that you can access the back of the LED board assembly. It should look like this from behind:

Step 4: Loosen the LED board and rotate it lower so it is centered in the Insignia better. Re-tighten in this new position:

Step 5: Attach the milk carton piece to the back of the plastic insignia stack with a few pieces of scotch tape. This will help to make the entire insignia light up uniformly:

Step 6: Attach the cardboard to the front of the LED circuit board with the double stick tape. The cardboard helps to block out the back panel GI lighting and gives better contrast to the insignia:

That's it! Pictures don't really show how well this works. The insignia lights up almost exactly like the ones in the playfield after doing this. Enjoy!
