Star Trek (Pro) Stern, 2013

I've got two issues going on with my ST Pro. First, after about two balls played, auto fire kicks in and launches the ball after each drain. If I turn of the machine and start over, I can get about two balls played before the problem starts again. Second, I am not able to change missions with the flipper buttons when the ball is in the launch lane. If it's locked in the left mission start I am able to scroll through. Any thoughts on trouble shooting would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I would start with the switch test. Play the machine until the problem starts. Then go to the switch test. With no ball in the shooter lane, what switches show as closed? Then put a ball in the shooter lane, now what switches show as closed?

Reseat all the small opto board plugs. And both the ball trough opto plugs.

If that doesn't work, go into switch test and start testing the switches. And optos.

Thank you. I tried both and still not having luck. It works for a game and then goes bad again. And the ability to scroll through missions never comes back, even in left lock now.

When this is happening is the "Shoot Again" light lit? What about the T-R-E-K letters in the outlanes?
