Hey everyone. Got a question. I seems that I have an issue the opto 42. The voltage at the other 3 optos is 1.3 volts or so. Opto 42 is 3.4 volts. These are used for the Left VLK just behind the "gun" VLK. Seems like maybe its related to the solenoid that uses its input. The wire broke of the solenoid. When I checked the voltage, it was correct (1.3). When I re-soldered the wire, the voltage went up to 10 volts?

Is this normal? I didn't have cause to check it before. Any suggestions?

I have been fighting a double ball feed. Sometimes it the left feed ramp. Other times its from the through (seems to be related to the trough optos). The plugs specifically. I need to replace those as well. The optos are Great Lakes Modular.

Thank you for any suggestions you might have.

UPDATE - REPLACED THE OPTO.

Solonoids and optos will have nothing in common. If the Optical LED is bad, or there is a break in the connection going back to the 16 opto board then you should read around 12V on the LED, 10V seems a little low and may point to an issue with the 16opto board connections or possibly the filter cap; you will want to do a visual inspection of the large capacitor and check for swelling or signs of leaking.
