Should I trade my custom SS for a mint TOM with all gold trim and coin door? what are you thoughts of those pins?

#2 12 years ago

I would yes. SS is a great game, but I think TOM is better. And all time classic.

Vanquish the chains!

#3 12 years ago

I want both.

#4 12 years ago

No SS is hard to find in nice condition and both are somewhat boring.

#5 12 years ago

Unless it's a lot nicer than cg's, I'd say no.

#6 12 years ago

IMHO...it's trading themes really, not games. Do you like Elvira or do you "have the magic"? I really like both games but I find them very similar.

#7 12 years ago

$$$ wise they are probably the same if in the same condition.
I love the humor in SS..... so SS gets the nod with me.
It comes down to which theme you like better!

They are similar, no question. Look at the layouts of each. Very similar. Pops in the same place, similar ramp placement, scoop/basement in the same place, the "spell" and "magic" targets are in the same place, etc.

I've owned them both, and really enjoy both. ToM seemed more repetitive to me, not because of hitting the Trunk, but the constant hitting of the loop to get the multiplier up to 8x. That was a bit boring.

I am going Friday to look at the TOM I like the flow of TOM better then SS. This is my second SS it is an ok pin. Never owned TOM. If I don't lime it I will trade it or sell it.

#10 12 years ago

good luck , i like my ss better, thought i'd really like tom, but maybe i just expected too much because i love my totan and cv and thought i'd add another j pop

Make the trade

#12 12 years ago

I've played both and own TOM, so my vote goes to making the trade.

#14 12 years ago

I would never trade my Stiff(unless the trade was ridiculously in my favor) but, if your feeling it. Go for it!!!

#15 12 years ago

Sell me your SS!!! Sent you a PM.

#16 12 years ago

Maybe I should sell a Stern to make room for TOM. LOTR,IM,?

#17 12 years ago

I would be interested in your IM or LOTR!

PS tatman...received the package...thanks a bunch!

#18 12 years ago

I wouldn't. I've owned 2 ToM's n honestly don't miss it. The difference between the 2 to me is one has a wizard mode worth getting to while the other is kinda like kissing your sister.

Keep the SS you won't find one as nice as what you have In a long time and if you do it wi be expensive.

Sell LOTR if your really dead set on TOM. Atleast that's what I'd do.

#20 12 years ago

Owned ToM, but it didn't last very long in the collection. SS is so much more fun to play and the humor is awesome..... a definite keeper in my collection. Plus it's my wife's favorite, so it's not going anywhere!

#21 12 years ago

Tat..

Keep the SS she's a beauty! Buy that ToM she's just as nice... sacrifice LOTR. Or, expand that amazing gameroom you have : )

If you had to sell a Stern I would get rid of IM and keep LOTR. Having played both and owning a TOM, my opinion is TOM>SS. SS is a fun and great looking game but I think TOM has better variety of flowing shots.

#27 12 years ago

Of course keep the SS! Hey tatman....sheesh!...nice room!!
