The speech is perfectly fine and the background sound is there too. Just no sounds. This is an Elektra.
Settings are correct (#18 on 3), so I assume it is on the board. Any ideas on what to check in this situation?

Has the S&T sound board been re-capped? Very common for the two 2uF capacitors in the audio chains to go open circuit.
Background sounds comes from the U12 AY-3-8912 sound generator which is working.
Sound effects come from the U10 AD558 Digital to Analog converter. Its output goes through the 2uF capacitor at C43 so suspect it first.

Replace the 2uF capacitor at C36 as well. Consider re-capping the whole board. Some of the 1uF caps go bad including the 10uF cap at C15.
