Looks like Marco and Terry are out not sure if Steve Young has but wondering if anyone has a good spring part alternative for 10-398 that is currently in stock

Using this on ball diverter for F14 Tomcat

Will this work if you replace the whole plunger?

I see where you are going with this but unfortunately I don't think it will. I think it needs to push off a bracket; the spring wraps around the plunger.

DavidLee might be posting a picture shortly of his F14 we are working on.

Ah, different diverter than I was thinking.

Opened mine up for example. I’m guessing another down post spring might do the trick...

Hmmm, that might work. It's a thinner spring but the overall length might make up for it. At first I was thinking older EOS switch but the cone form would make things too funky.

I have an assortment of springs here if you want to look through them and try something.

We might (wait for it) .....spring for that.

I think Dave is doing family stuff the rest of the weekend.

Here is a picture of the spring. The picture With my finger in it shows the broken spring. The second picture shows the unbroken spring.

Does anyone think it could work to buy one of these and cut it?

Just a spring. Game won't know the difference.

You might not need to cut it. I'd try it first.
