I sanded level the clearcoat, but some of the inserts and play field do not look clear. Kind of cloudy. Do I have to go through the different grits of sandpaper to try and get it clearer?
Thanks!

Can you post good, clear close-up photos?
There can be different causes and solutions for this symptom.
It was quite clear before sanding. I've gone thru the coarse to very find grits of sandpaper, cut and polished with 3m compounds and ended looking like this.
its not just the inserts that have that cloudy look, its all the clear coat. Something went wrong with the application, or you have some bad clear coat.
If you wet the playfield with some naphtha does it become clear and shiny?
I would try sanding again, but start under the apron, you should be able to get to a point where it is actually flat and all those tiny bumps have gone. The have to be careful is that you don't sand too far and damage the artwork.
