I'm going to need some Pinside assistance to get this 80-year-old game back in shape. Here's a "before" picture as I get started on Sports Parade.

WISH LIST - I'll update this as needed.

1. Who else owns this title? Let's share pics.
2. Anyone have a schematic to share? Nothing on IPDB, PBR, PCR, or Pinball Mike.
3. The skirts on these passive/dead bumpers have 4 holes. Any colors available besides white, red, blue, yellow, and green?

Oooh shiny! I brightened up this cast aluminum plunger gauge with Mother's polish and some elbow grease. That crack received some superglue.

Touched up the backglass after sealing it.

Here are the components of a dead bumper. There are 17 of them in the game. The skirts are unique - they have a metal point with a braided copper wire soldered on. If no one makes these, I assume I'll have to fabricate my own by replacing the plastic portion of the original skirts. Or can I modify the game to use a more conventional dead bumper? Advice please!

Clean plastics. If I can find a way to flatten the skirts in the oven, they could be reused.

Cleaning up the backboard. Vacuum then wood filler in the divots.

Brightening up 80 year old hardware: Overnight soak in vinegar, wire brush, then overnight tumble in walnut media with polish. The brass tubing is showing progress polishing via a drill.

000 steel wool and polish brighten up the rail.

I've hit my polishing limit for the day by finishing the plunger. Simple Green dissolved the grime followed by Mother's and a coat of wax.

I tried boiling a warped skirt to flatten it. It was soft after a minute, and I pressed it flat between wood blocks, but the skirt warped again as it cooled and the color change was significant. I could try an oven, but I'm leaning toward ordering replacements. The new colors won't match the remaining plastics though.

With a handy new gadget, I tested my collection of old bulbs and those in the backbox. I had to use plastic tubing to unscrew the smallest of the countersunk bulbs. Maybe the bulbs won't get so stuck in the backbox since I applied dielectric grease in the sockets. Bulb tester: ebay.com link: itm

I found a missing piece of bumper cap, cleaned it, and glued it back together.

Rather than replace the locks, I pulled the pins out of the cylinders so they can be opened with a screwdriver. Then I brightened them up with a treatment regimen of vinegar soak, vibratory tumbler, and polish. I ended up sanding off the bits of remaining chrome to even out the appearance.
