Have started but think I need the pinball so that I can do a proper job.
It will have a display and I will add some of my own animations but am looking at adding provision for owners to add own movies .
It may be a fiddly one to achieve but am looking into it.
Plus I would like to make this look like part of the pin so having the pin will help.
Quoted from lawspud:Well I have one you can borrow, but you’d have to come to California. Ah well.
Quoted from RikeIsland:Any updates on what’s to come?
Pin should be arriving end of Sept .
So should be able to show you a mock.
I want to spread out further than the Halloween mod I made .
Well still havnt received my Ultraman .... But decided to start .
Will try to do justice to the great artwork of Matt Frank
Im not an artist but Okaish I think to tackle this.
Heres a snippet of the start.
Not going to reveal what the overal mods is going to be as it always changes through the process.
Well Pin is in the house....
Love the game . Plays really nice. Sub tweaked with spacer and awsome.
Minds all over the place and ideas spilling left right and center.
Yep I've tweaked again ...looking at mixing vibes on this one.
Quoted from wolftownjeff:Did you place a spacer under the woofer?
Yep. Will post a drawing later
I have three mods on the way.
Probably bundle as a collection.
Main section still being worked on.
1. Scoop mod.
A slide in option to help make the scoop a sure fire hit.

Quoted from RikeIsland:I will take a full set as well. What’s the plan to cover that ugly clear plastic on the upper playfield?
I'm undecided as yet and have a few idea's on the go.
The bridge I'm waiting for led's to arrive and also a selection of sprays to test out.
Quoted from Lostcause:Very nice, can’t wait to try the scoop mod looks good. Post is awful at the moment here
Yep have odd problems since the postal strike.
Some tracking some not !
Quoted from stumblor:Glad it's not just me!!
Awesome mods mate you have been very busy.
Cheers Davey.
Yep the scoop pissed me off Just was not working so had to do something.
Had ordered a set of scoop angles from marco but dont need them now.
This really does make it an easy shot.
Quoted from paulbaptiste:Hopefully you still have me up at the top of the list. Still interested.
First on the list
Quoted from wolftownjeff:Perhaps make the spacer available as an option in the package? Depending on cost I would take one.
Waiting for led's for the bridge to complete.
May release the three before the center piece as thats a little bit behind in dev.
Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:Everything is looking great. Can this scoop mod be made in a translucent clear? Not sure if that is possible, but was thinking it might be cool since it could absorb the led light from all around. Also, can I order just this mod to get it fitted before my scoop hood gets bent so far back that it kills my beta capsule?
Yep will loook into it.
The transparent colored scoop mod lights up when lit with its matching color.
Hi all, Sorry for the increasing delay on these.
Still waiting for a delivery of led strips from China.
Soon as they arrive will be able to conclude the bridge mod.
Quoted from Giebzilla:Hello, please add me to to to your list. I really like the look of your mods! The gunmetal bridge is fantastic and I can’t wait to improve the scoop shot. Hopefully these are ready soon.
Waiting for led's the first lot where incorrect
Have a set of bridges done, beta capsules plus the scoops , soon as the led's arrive will be PM'ing
Quoted from paulbaptiste:Any hints at what the center piece mod will be?
I have three versions on going and thats probably my problem.
One has a display another just artwork and last one model with led effects.
I may end up with the last version but may combine . Not sure.
Will be contact people on the list and hopefully sending out at the end of Jan.
Royal mail hacked by Russia so no international post at the mo.
Quoted from Var1AbL3:My mods showed up yesterday and today I took about 30 minutes to install all three of these awesome mods. Only issue I'd ask about is the connection for the RGB on the bridge are different connectors than what is used in the rest of the game and in the mod Splitter. I included a picture of the connections on my board to see if anyone has a suggestion or knows the right pigtail that will fix this. My game was LATE in the run (423) so maybe they changed it up.
Otherwise these are beautiful, and made a huge improvement in game play thanks to the scoop mod. See pics of it all installed (minus the lights) below.

Ah rollocks!!!!
They changed the connectors?
OK will have to find out what connectors they used.
Quoted from Var1AbL3:I spent some time under there and EVERY single LED as well as the actual light strips ALL use the exact same connector. The only ones that seem to have been changed were on the Pinataur board ONLY. So, I was thinking if I can sort out another spot to split the connection it would work fine. I will try and pull the PF back up and get some closeups of the exact connector they use. Regardless, BEST mods I have ever bought (well on par with Precision Flips on my R&M).
Ive contacted Spooky but if anyone on here knows what type then i can send you a converter and add one in all the mods.
Sorry had no idea they changed it!
Quoted from Vimtoman:Think I found the connector type.
Var1AbL3 when Ive received them will make an adaptor for you.
Var1AbL3 If possible can you take a picture of the wiring connection to the led strips please.
Just want to make sure .
Yep thanks its the JST PH connector.
Have ordered a bunch.
Should have them in a few days time so will make two splitters types.
Quoted from paulbaptiste:I wish mine would show up already! Looking great!
Yours is stuck in Chicago customs ...
Thanks guy's .
Just finishing off the proto electronics.
Wanted the ability to change video's and allow expanding the number for future.
So should allow the modders modders tweak stuff
OK just waiting for PCB's to arrive so nearing completetion.
Thats if they are all OK.
If you would like any specific video clips to be added then please let me know.
Note the display is not a standard format.
I will add some animations of a billboard advertising type at launch.
Demo will be shown soon.
Quoted from EasternBloc:I’m in for the front panel mod. Are you thinking about using real era appropriate Japanese ads or fictional ones?
Fictional mainly.
I will for a short time convert videos sent by buyers into files that they will be able to drop into the SD card.
They will be able to select specific collection, play all or individual scenes.
Will allows people swap files.
You will also be able to change lighting effects.
Have most of the software done but one section yet to finish.
Going to be a limited run on these as theres a fair bit going in.
Quoted from treyspaghetti:Any update on this?
Printing up and making up pcb's.
Still have painting to do and a few anims to do.
Quoted from beastmaster1981:Hi Vimtoman, you do great Job !! Count me in for your mod with the screen !! Cant wait to see it
Thanks.
Nearing completion.
Quoted from paulbaptiste:Show me more!!
Just one other
Mod body shown further back in the thread.
Train crash into building with shops and large advertising display.
Will show in situe once I have some completed.
You will be able to add your own videos and I can also convert for you should you need help etc
Thought I'd add quite a few for others who dont want to do so.
2Gb of animations supplied on a 4gb card.
They are set as info cards,V's and fight animations mainly .
Others with effects.
Remote to change to particular battle collection and one button to play all on loop.
I may do a pcb to sync to pinball if It works out. No guarantee though.
All video's shown in resolution of the display so blurry on PC screen.
They look crsip on the mods display.
Quoted from paulbaptiste:Andrew is a Beast amongst men! Looks stunning!! So grateful he pours into these games that others seem to ignore. Well done sir!!
Cheers Paul
Quoted from MT45:Hate to be a bother but don’t want to miss out either. Is there a way to “know” you’re on the “list”?
Your on the next batch will PM you when they are ready.
Quoted from Crile1:They look great, but can you still see the ball crossing over and then rolling down when the magnet releases? That’s one of my favorite parts of UM. It looks like the mod blocks the view of the ball path. Seems like you hit the ball, then disappears until it falls out of the bridge.
Depends on how tall you are
I can see the top when rolling through and see it in the bridge section etc.
Quoted from GranpaDave:Just installed my set. Yeah the mod does block the ball path, but you get used to it- the mod and lighted bridge are great. Pinball buddies thought the mods were very cool. My original beta capsule was broken unbeknownst to me- replacement was very welcome.
The mod set is a little pricy, but when accounting for r and d as well as the final product (hand painted and plenty of extra pieces) the price is reasonable.
I really enjoy UM and it is a favorite in home league- so this game will be not be leaving anytime soon.
Thanks GranpaDave for the post.
Spent a long time developing the mod and added roughly 80 short videos to it.
Glad you guys liked it as thats what keeps us modders going.
This mod was never a money making venture as the number of pins determines this.
Such a great/brave theme choice by Spooky I just had to do it.
Quoted from doghouse:Received my mod but having a hard time locating where the cable comes up through the playfield. The photos in the instructions aren’t matching up with what I’m seeing underneath my playfield. Any better photos available for installation?
There are wires using the same route. Try locating those.
I've tried to show as best I can where the wires go.
Also use a short stick to line up from the rear to guide.
Quoted from doghouse:Well, that hole under the playfield does *not* exist on my game. Instead, I routed it over the back of the playfield, which is I think the most logical way to do it. Not sure why it was suggested that you route it from underneath? Regardless, the mod is fantastic.[quoted image]
Gap between the three tier playfields.
The hole is in top tier playfield inbetween the pillars holding the clear bridge.
You need to aim for that.
Oaken pretty much described the route perfectly yep it's fiddly.
Yep remote was a last minute addition and mainly added for user movie selection.
If your having issues with it responding you can reset it on pinball powerup.
Make sure pin is off and hold the top red standby button down and keep remote close to mod.
Then power pin up.
Hold for a second and the mod syncs to the remote.
Quoted from doghouse:In my opinion it makes a lot more sense to just run the cable over the back of the playfield. Very easy and no worry trying to find a hole that in my case doesn’t exist.
Sorry youre having problems but maybe try a bit harder as its a good route for the wiring.
But if your happy with it as is then OK
Quoted from MongolianMisfit:Does anyone know of a place or person that is doing ramp decals for Ultraman? I think it would be pretty sick if there was a road or train track decal out there in the wild.
Also, can anyone recommend applying scoop mylar for the table, and are there any out there pre-sized that you know of?
PM RussMyers he makes them
