From the looks of the order numbers posted here, it looks like they sold maybe 20.
This game is way over priced for what it is. Don't cry yet, I'm not saying its not fun, I'm saying physically this game has no parts, no molds, levels, license, etc.
and on top of that its a remake so a lot of the development costs are already paid for. It's a profitable game to make if you can sell them.
That said, I think there are definitely some bad business decisions with the extreme price hike and cutting out the distributers.

Let’s face it. The folks that own and operate Spooky totally nail it on customer service and public relations. Game design…not so much. With the notable exception of TNA, their game designs are often lacking. Rick and Morty could’ve been an incredible game with the benefit of basic attention to geometry. As is, it’s a total clunk fest. I see this as Spooky wanting to milk their best cow for all she’s worth (or more). I can’t understand why anybody would pay this much for a game where the most compelling asset is the soundtrack.
