Quoted from JakePG:Anybody know if pa is taxed through spooky?
Yes they do.
This is a snippet from an email last year from Spooky.
Right now those states are CA,IL,IA,MI,MN,OH,PA,WA, and WI, but these may change as time goes on.
Quoted from arcadem:Any concerns with the new board set? Used anywhere else? I am in on a CE but I must admit that I am a tad worried.
That was one of the main reasons why I hit the pause button. Seems like Spooky is changing things up with every release. The game looks great but, the new tech and ever changing team of coders has me concerned.
Quoted from insight75:If they were doing this and releasing 6 games a year I would be concerned. That laptop you bought yesterday is outdated today. Tech never stops changing.
I guess Stern didn’t get that memo. One and done still bothers me. By the way, I am a Halloween owner. I am hoping for the best and I like the idea of an in-house solution. I just want to see it working in the field before I commit. I am just going to play it safe on this one. I will be a buyer later on if it plays good and the code shows promise. I was going to pass on Scooby but it does look like fun and my wife agreed which is kind of rare.
Quoted from manadams:Did you tell them you're losing money on the swap and not profiting on it?
I doubt the distributor cares. They are likely looking at it as a paperwork fee. They are charging the money to update their records.
Quoted from glasairpilot:Anyone hear of the R-rated version coming out?
I highly doubt that will happen. Don't think WB will let that fly.
Quoted from jetspeedb:They stated we are getting some sort of R mode but we will have to wait and see what it is. Also was mention of another surprise that was alluded to in one of the interviews back during announcement that has not be made clear yet. Live stream announcement incoming too. I think those are the 3 we know of but are waiting for.
The pin buyers and Spooky want that, but I don’t think WB would sign-off on it. Time will tell.
Quoted from DrBernd:I need to find out if it's possible to get the entire package inside the house and through a narrow hallway and two small doors to its final unpacking location. Not much room to maneuver and no way to unpack outside the house.
I can tell you the width when on a dolly of a Spooky game is just a hair under 33 inches. It just fit it through my gate.
