Nice!!! who designed the playfield?
I keep seeing No stress ordering….then the CE looks amazing and it’s limited to 1969 units. My thought right away is how the hell do I get one before the flippers!!! In on a CE if I can get one. It looks great!
Quoted from jazc4:Does the mystery machine toy's headlights light up?
If it doesn’t I bet it will. Seems like an easy mod for someone to do
Regardless of all the noise from some of the folks. I have to hand it to spooky for being engaged in these forums. They listen and try to do as much good as possible. Personally, I think I would struggle with some of these A hole comments but spooky handles it very well!
The play looks great! Thanks for posting the video!
Quoted from lpeters82:I'd love to do a Pinky & The Brain, but I don't think it would be super popular.
anamaniacs would be awesome and you can include pinky and the brain!
Quoted from Capn12:Probably the right call. I had an EHoH on backorder for a year or so, and finally gave up on it. Then I heard the price, and decided I chose well, despite REALLY wanting Lyman's last great Stern opus.
How much are they next year?
Quoted from turbo2nr:I can't believe so many people are buying this without seeing any game play.
I predict another Spooky with ultra-poor build quality and horrible code, but it will be a looker.
Anyone wanna take a bet on that for $1
Are you betting horrible code right out the gate or when more complete like Rick and Mortys?
I’d take the bet if it’s a couple years after the first pin delivery. My ultraman is bad but acnc, Rick and morty, Tna shoot even americas most haunted I really enjoyed the code. Owned all of those and currently only have R&M and ultraman (which I just got reasonable).
Never owned or played rob zombie but all my others spookys played well, had awesome code and minimal issues (exclude ultraman, the code is disappointing to say the least)
Quoted from turbo2nr:Deleted post
So what’s your answer? Code out the gate or 2 years from the first release for the dollar bet?
Quoted from ypurchn:BSE 1823 from Joe I guess I’ll have plenty of time for the kinks to be gone and code to be spot on
I wouldn’t set any expectations on the code. I got a late run ultraman and the code has a lot of issues. Some so simple like the font size too big so you can’t read the words on the screen to see what you need to do. This is code 1.08a. I do believe they will get the right but the run is over. I also thought the same as you so felt let down. It seems production is moving faster than code development. Eventually, all these will have awesome code like their games in the past!
Quoted from rai:Except R&M didn't have a price reduction but that was a much lower production build than HW or SD.
Makes sense, R&M is their best pin and probably one of the best made from any manufacturer.
Quoted from SpookyLuke:We are a ton farther along than the start of HWUM and it's important to us to exceed expectations at first full reveal!
I really enjoy the physical layout of UM but code is incredibly disappointing for what even a release would be much less a pin over a year old (anxiously waiting for Matt to atleast get us something soon).
This is good news for those who pulled the trigger on scooby. Seems like they are working to do better on the release
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Gotta keep in mind it takes twice as long to code two games. I am not in the least bit surprised that code is taking so long on HWN/UM honestly, especially with the fawzma hiccup. It will get there.
Yeah, they chose what they chose and managed it how they managed it. If Having a code on ultraman this far out where the font is too large to read vs the size of the screen in certain modes doesn’t surprise you then you had incredibly low expectations (one example of many). I don’t want to turn this into a bashing thread. I love spooky. I think they do listen to us. They are active in the forums and you can tell they are true pinball enthusiasts. I believe they learned a lot from the last launch and are applying it to scooby.
