Meatloaf would be badass! I'd get one for sure.

Quoted from wizard_mode:

I dunno. I think Jetsons at least could generate 300 buyers for the nastalgia. Meatloaf though? I mean I obviously know who he is but do not know one fan of the music. I am sure they are out there? Nah, they're not.

*raises his hand*. Big fan right here. Been listening to him since I was a kid. I love it. it surprises most people I know when they hear some of my unusual musical interests.

Quoted from Medisinyl:

Almost looks like a magnet between/below the flippers? Or is that an insert, etc.?

Yes magnet. It’s a ball save. Catches it and throws it straight back up between the flippers.

March 25 the orders begin...

26th. Monday. 25th is a Sunday

Quoted from MT45:

Anyone with previous "Spooky" purchasing experience know the process for how they actually take the non-refundable deposits?
Credit card via web? Over the phone?
Bank check?
Paypal?
Just want to be prepared for Monday ...

Believe things are changing this go around so can’t be sure.

They do take cards. When I put my TNA deposit I sent them a check after calling KT to save them credit card fees. I think Charlie is preparing an email statement to everyone on the list for wanting info and past customers to prepare everyone for Monday.

#2034 6 years ago

Constant email refreshing for the next hour

#2039 6 years ago

Curious how this whole ordering process shakes out. Put my order on via email as they requested but now wait for instructions on sending deposit payment.

#2048 6 years ago
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

She's getting caught up (not really! Lol) but as long as you sent her the email reply with options, etc... good to go! Email holds your spot in line just fine.

Forgot my plastic protector option and DBA coindoor! I’ll still wait for KT to contact me for the deposit so she doesn’t get ANOTHER email in her inbox to really confuse things

#2056 6 years ago
Quoted from Crile1:

I think they'll get a lot of orders today, but not 500. I don't think there is any rush to order before seeing a stream with more complete code (at least with a song) or actually getting hands on experience (which can be difficult given Spooky's low numbers). So, I'm not worried about sitting this one out for the time being.

I ordered day one for this reason. So I can get an early one on site in the Northeast and then everyone can get a chance to play it and hopefully make a decision for themselves if they want one.

Quoted from SpookyKT:

Please if you have not heard from me in any way today send me an email RIGHt away. I have tried to get to everyone but I am sure someone has slipped through the cracks. [email protected]

Thanks for being great.

I was invoiced for my final TNA payment last week on the 22nd. And that was 1918. My Alice invoice was 1946

#2213 6 years ago

No update on numbers today. Must be too many orders to sort through or they are still rolling in and can’t catch up. Glad to hear it’s been good days for them.

#2229 6 years ago
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

We're being a bit quiet on purpose.
See you all at MGC!

Get back to work! You should be inspecting my TNA #112 right about now for delivery. Look forward to that and hearing my Alice number this weekend.

Thanks for being a standup company.

Quoted from RustyLizard:

They can't assign numbers until down payments are in. If one of the early numbers doesn't pay everything shifts.

That’s annoying if people haven’t paid their invoices yet after jumping in day 1, but totally believable infuetunately.

#2299 6 years ago
Quoted from zombywoof:

No doubt some are paying their deposit by check via mail after securing the spot via email. That is how I handled my deposit for RZ. It saves Spooky the credit card fees, and was encouraged but not required.

They have changed up and you are now given a quick book invoice you pay directly online. Credit card, bank transfer or even Apple Pay. Super convient and smooth transaction.

Quoted from Mr68:

Just a passing thought and we have a long ways to go before delivery.
One of the many reasons I'm buying this game is based on theme but not necessarily on Alice Cooper. I have always enjoyed AC's music and especially his stage persona. But I'm attracted to the monster, mystery castle, dark theme more than anything else. The fact it just happens to have Alice Cooper's music in it is a bonus.
Thumbs up or down are welcome but I'll put my flame suit on just in case.

Agree completely and I’m not a fan of Alice. Nothing against his music honestly just never been into it. But the presentation of this game and approach is way more open and universal. The castle monster hunt theme is great.

Quoted from thedarkknight77:

Charlie, Will you give us a heads up when there are 50-75 games left? It would be tragic in my eyes, if people have to order this game before they have a chance to play it. Heck, it looks like Alice Cooper will sell out before a real game leaves the assembly line. Any chance there will be a game at Pintastic New England? Congrats on the success!

If I got in early enough and they start in June I suppose there’s a chance we could have ours in the tournament. Wishful thinking.

#2391 6 years ago
Quoted from fantarama:

which might get you playing before 2020.
do people really buy like that just out of FOMO?

I do it for my location players.

Quoted from SpookyKT:

Guys I only sent the numbers to the people that had asked in the last day or so. OR if I was already contacting you for something else.
Now to settle some questions. Our distributors got meshed in with our sales. So their games they sold will be done while we are building the games I sold. That may be why you got a higher number then you expected. This also includes our sales people in Australia, the UK , Europe & the Solid Rock Charity games.
I will get the numbers out as I can. BUT I am going to be out of the office till TUE next week. I will try to answer emails when I can but I will have limited access to the internet & cell reception.
There are still spots available. The game will be at Allentown in the Pinball Star Booth.

Hope you don’t get bombarded with emails now looking for #’s . I’ll get mine whenever it’s convient for you. Enjoy taking a deserved break from the emails!

#289 here and i signed up within seconds of the orders opening up. At least the bugs should be worked out by then.

129 here chuck. You can play ours while you wait.

Having bare wood or white areas is probabaly better at reflecting light than up bunch of dark artwork to an extent. Why spend the extra money on the ink to print areas that are covered with plastics

Quoted from Pinstein:

That playfield pic looks great but I do hate it when there is barewood beneath the plastics. Why not just have it be continuous art? It makes the whole package look so much more complete. Grand Lizard and some other 80's pins have complete art under the plastics and looks great. I know thats an old comparison and I'm sure its cheaper to do it this way. I just think it breaks the 4th wall and reveals whats behind the curtain.

Quoted from StylesBitchly:

What changed?
I thought there was still a very noticeable difference between standing and squatting.

For one I know the back of the cabinet is taller since the cabinet is more like a dmd era pin than a early SS pin. That puts the display several inches higher too
