Anyone with previous "Spooky" purchasing experience know the process for how they actually take the non-refundable deposits?
Credit card via web? Over the phone?
Bank check?

Just want to be prepared for Monday ...

Quoted from nikpinball:

My invoice from pinball star says 0001. I paid at 9:02 EST. Emailed at 9:00. Although maybe that's the item number. Don't think we got game or invoice numbers from Joe yet

Mine is #0001 as well. Must be an item number that Joe set up or was auto assigned by PP. I ordered at 9:04

Quoted from DrMark12PA:

How are persons customizing their Alice machines with initial $1000 deposit? When I called Spooky yesterday about the down payment they said that is done when final payment is to be made.

If you bought from Joe at Pinball Star, he will contact you shortly for the add-ons. He just emailed me that very request. Not sure how Spooky is handling direct sales.

BTW my adds were:

Blue powder coat
Inside art

#2232 1 year ago

Stupid question but is the blue powder coat covering the rails and lockdown “only” or does it cover legs and hinges as well? I was at TPF in the room for unveiling but did not know to even look for that? Anyone know?

Can't stand the thread sitting still for a whole overnight period so ... here are some screenshots of Charlie's play video from his FB page showing different stages of the RGB ... I couldn't think of anything more minuscule than that

Best I could come up with for now. Let's keep this thread moving!!

Quoted from Magicchiz:

Trying to keep it at the top. Drops way to fast. For a new release. Its wayyyyyyy too QUIET!

Man, I agree big time. For a brand new release it’s way too quiet! We need some more stuff to talk about

Gameplay video
Game numbers
Details of game design
Code discussion
Gameplay review by experts and casual players
Alice Cooper details and interactions as the game was designed
Signed ACNC trans lights to buy
Mods to discuss
Code “wish-lists”
How many Spooky owners “reordered” this title
We need more!!!

Quoted from Mr68:

Just a passing thought and we have a long ways to go before delivery.
One of the many reasons I'm buying this game is based on theme but not necessarily on Alice Cooper. I have always enjoyed AC's music along with his stage persona. But I'm attracted to the monster, mystery castle, dark theme more than anything else. The fact it happens to have Alice Cooper's music in it is almost incidental.
Thumbs up or down are welcome but I'll put my flame suit on just in case.

100% in the same page. Wife is a Cooper fan. I enjoy his music but have not sought it out. The theme, mood, colors and comic book style LCD art is major draw for me. Will be a bonus to have the AC tunes in there as well.

Really interesting in that I’m not usually a big horror theme guy. Only enjoy it when it gets campy ... like Abbott and Costello, Young Frankenstein etc.

Another reason to buy ACNC is that I really want to support the underdogs/new guys (just took delivery of Houdini)

Can’t wait for more gameplay during MGC!

Quoted from rotordave:

Those numbers indicate some good sales.
I’m 90 and 91.
Full steam ahead Team Spooky.
Just to finish the Novus discussion:
Novus has been used for a long time. It’s actually a plastic polish.
Playfields are finished with car clear.
It makes sense to me to use car products on car clear. So I use Mequiers or similar products and 3m cut and polish stuff.
Nothing wrong with Novus at all - I just prefer the car stuff. If it’s designed to work on $100,000 cars (and they don’t get sued) then it’s good for my playfields.

Same here RD - been using Meguiars Mirror Glaze for polishing up CC on a PF.
I'll use some of the Meguiars Fine Cut (#2 I think) when polishing old mylar, then follow up with the Mirror Glaze - works awesome with the TC kit

BTW - on using Novus 2 ... someone asked how many times before you would remove the clear coat on a PF. If you are using it by hand, it would theoretically not be possible. The amount of CC removed (if any) by a product like Novus 2 is microscopic.

Quoted from Jousley:

May I ask how much they cost? Going to see Alice in concert in September and considered trying to get a translight in an attempt to get it autographed

I'm pretty sure they were $75 . Wife bought one. Remember that the backglass in your game will outshine the plastic translight ...

Quoted from RebelGuitars:

I just received one of the front loading translite frames from Spotlight Displays for mine.

Beautiful! Did you see Alice in person to get it signed?

Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

Was a bit rough... no doubts there. Last second code update was a mistake, and 1 loose flipper switch screw caused the issue. Sad, but we'll get past it.
Big thanks to Jack Danger, Domiono's Pizza (Adam!), Bowen, and all our Aussie guests for coming over.
Happy that Jack is blowing up the game right now!!!

Congrats Charlie. Dont worry about minor issues. You guys knocked it out of the park on this title!

Loved the game play, art and flow!

Just blown away by:
- Spinner and sound
- Spiral ramp
- Animations
- Perfect choice of AC music
- Vampire mode lighting
- Insect mode lighting
- Guillotine mech
- Coding on your RGBs
- Sound on the stream was killer too!

Super excited future ACNC #144 owner here!

You all have a lot to be proud of and I'll be blown away if you dont completely sell out this week

BTW ... impressed with Bugs ability to rip that spinner!

Quoted from davijc02:

Part of me is thinking to just grab an ACNC spot now and just throw down on TNA when they do the last call for orders.

Might now matter to you but TNA is going to be made for along time.

ACNC is limited to 500 and (I think) nearly sold out. Would probably be able to get one on secondary market though

Something to consider

Not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread but Marty on Head 2 Head podcast played ACNC recently (when he was in the states for Pinburgh) and gave it high marks for how well it shoots. This was just ahead of the Dead flip streaming event.

Also said he liked:
- Artwork
- Animations
- Callouts "suit the game" perfectly
- Sound effects
