Quoted from RebelGuitars:AC was hair raising at TPF.
On a slight digression, that girl with the big hair is very cool.
Antionette I think, I just wanted to say, enthusiasm runs very high in her. I like that.
She works for Marco now, she told me. I like that too.
Good job Marco!
I'm a fan.
On topic, possible digression warning.
I was at a friends yesterday, and the spooky movie arrived in the mail. We proceeded to watch it.
I had seen the spooky presentation at golden state pinball a few weeks ago, and I was impressed by them.
I am not wealthy. If I had some coin right now, and more room I would probably get right on board for this here particular release.
I might just try to do it anyways. I was very impressed by their company, work ethic and track record. Thier track record is on thier sleeve.
The spooky guy (Charlie?) in the presentation he joked about being the number three pinball company in a positive way.
I personally would not count out spooky as ending up number one. In pinball.
Good luck spooky!
I highly suggest this spooky documentary to watch to tide you over, if you haven’t seen it. It is cool to see that they have moved forward since the movie. Momentum is good.
They were very complimentary of the Texas pinball festival.
Quoted from Cheeks:Can you imagine how this thread would implode if he bricked the shots on his first few balls and ended with a 60 second game?
The bottom line is that there hasn't been a single video I'm aware of that shows anyone having a good game.
Yesterday at ayci Gogis Alice tournament, we saw atleast one good game, my own.
I was in qualifying and I scored what looked to be a great game. I got the third high score and I think it stuck atleast until playoffs. I saw many die trying.
The playoffs, I did not make it by a hair, into them. I was on the bubble and took a second on centaur. It looked like a first and then the fourth player crushed ball three. But I did not see too many people doing high scores on the Alice game in general.
I had a pretty good time playing the game. I could not hear the call outs because it was pretty loud. I remembered thinking I would like to have one. If I had the means.
I will spend more time on it. I am glad I can do that.
Quoted from Jodester:After watching the latest Twitch stream, I am still Ok with my preorder. It looked that players got better with the tight shots as they put more games on the machine. I also learned a ton about the rules.
Game is still pretty glitchy, but looks like a blast to play. Charlie and Co will work those out way before I get mine.
It was very fun. I did have to try some shots but I did find some of them. I want one too.
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:Here's my opinion... people either like the game, or don't. Reviews are about as accurate in pinball as they are music, films, etc etc. We've seen TnA called "an empty refrigerator box", "plays like an E.M.", "one trick pony", ... and on and on. 2017 Pinball News game of the year, multiple best in show wins all over the country, GAME SUCKS! "Overrated hype".
Why? Why bash a game you clearly don't enjoy? Are you trying to prove to others that the game they like, they are WRONG for liking it? Seems like a complete waste of time. Buy what you enjoy, and go have fun with it.
Example... I love music. I spend zero minutes a day on line bashing country music, and trying to convince country fans that heavy f**king metal is the best.
Let's have more fun and dig a little deeper on the ramp thing I just mentioned... Here's that shiny new building across the street and just a few of the things going on now that's it's fully operational (like the Death Star!!!)
We needed to get the ramps clearer... we also needed to improve the cuts. The "bump out" parts I'm pointing at took a couple weeks to figure out how to get to them to draw correctly on the thermal press and improve the mold so it could make the CNC's job more accurate and clean. You can see in the last photo how it looks after. MUCH better! All stuff now done in Benton, and all stuff that takes time to learn.
All the higher end printing and 100% of the powdercoating is now done here as well. Toss in the metal shop business that Spooky supports here in town (didn't exist a year ago) and you're seeing a small village basically helping Spooky become the most self sufficient pinball shop on the planet.
It's not just growing here, it's creating jobs all over town, and in Chicago. And if you think ANY of this is easy... you are crazier than Bryan Kelly.
Peace out. Go play a game you like today and like Dalton in Road House, just be nice.

Thank you for being here on pinside. Spooky!
I'm going to clock some plays on this game tonight at ayci Gogi. Been meaning to and tonight is the night.
Sweet.
Quoted from MT45:Love to hear your feedback. Also LUK what version of code they are running ...
I will I intend on playing an hour on the thing before most anyone arrives. I have a question for spooky I may just call them and see if I can get it answered. It has to do with the tilt setting.
No phone number oh well I will just play then!
The question I had about the tilt was it seemed really sensitive. Last time I played. I will check the code version too for posteritys sake. Also the tilt. But. I'm looking forward it's a great game.
Quoted from jellikit:I had no idea about Michael Bay, but did you know that Michael Mann directed The Keep (1983) and the film features a Tangerine Dream soundtrack?
Brad
The keep needs to be seen for Halloween. And the tangerine dream soundtrack is a bonus. I think there is a scream factory new blue ray.
I was at Ayci Gogi yesterday doing a play ahead for the league. I had to play every game once but I was able to play two games on Alice Cooper.
Sorry it was only two more games. Not enough time.
The game is smooth. I would like to spend about 20 games on it but I had to leave.
I got into cold ethyl mode and died. Fast.
I think my high score (third or something) remained.
But, I got lucky on that game I got into a mode and blew it up. That happens.
It was nice to see not too many others were able to blow it up. Yet.
The game though, very fun. I can't wait to see more of them, and play them.
I might own one someday, but the room. I have none.
No big deal I am happy with my one.
Great job spooky this game is kick ass!
I didn't play enough to remember the save feature, whether or not it worked.
I thought I remember some playfield magnet action.
On the blowing up of modes, then we just need to blow it up about ten times in one game...
Ok I’m digressing but this was my favorite Alice cooper song in last 25 years. It’s actually guns and roses the garden with alice cooper.
This song feels like like the best cooper to me. I know there are better, I wanted to put this here because it a great song some may not have heard yet.
Alice cooper.
Ok. Sorry to digress...
It's too bad it's game spots being offered and not the actual games right at this moment.
The game looks and plays great to me; but I am a location player, so I hope to see many more of them in my area. Playable.
I have played ayci Gogi and banning but these places are not near me (Gogi 1.5 hours) or not regularly open. (Banning open a few times a year)
I was just thinking it would be better if the games would be moving not the wait spots.
I know they are coming. So is the next season of game of thrones.
Patience, I have it.
I was able to play more Alice Cooper at banning. Looking forward to more time spent playing it anywhere...
Probably at ayci Gogi this Thursday.
I like the company spooky a lot. I met the owners at golden state pinball in ca last year.
And then later a friend of mine and me watched the spooky story video.
I like them. I really like them. Good people. We need more spooky pinballs.
