Quoted from dannunz:How do you know jjp3 will be at expo?
He doesn't, and it won't.
Quoted from zombywoof:RZ was $1000 down at reveal and balance when your machine is complete.
Must be different for export.
Quoted from CrazyLevi:He doesn't, and it won't.
It would kind of make sense for every company not to reveal a pin at the same time. They run the risk of being compared to the others or getting lost in the shuffle.
Quoted from Eskaybee:Legend of zelda would be epic!
Not likely, Nintendo's not a company that would typically hand out a license. And if they did the cost likely wouldn't make sense.
Quoted from dmbjunky:You've already teased that you know what's coming next.
If they try to continue to keep it Spooky and it's an old cartoon, is it Scooby?
I was thinking Scooby-Doo myself.

I know nothing but think a scooby would be an excellent choice personally. Bottom line is they are a company you can count on to deliver and that's what matters to me.
I am hoping that Spooky continues to make the themes no current company would ever make. I expect adult & corky themes from these guys. Excited about the next one. I am disappointed in Rob Zombie as the theme and coding could have set it up for greatness, but the layout lacks........Either way Spooky, Charlie and the team all rock!

Nah. You don't wait for the other guy to announce first and then try and ride in their wake, it's a race to get games in front of wallets. Only so many of them are stuffed full enough!
Smart move by Spooky.
I love what they are doing. Wish I could have kept my RZ.
With GBLE, AlienLe and now BatmanLe surprise I had to make a choice.
I'm happy someone else that wants it is gonna get my spot.

It would be cute, but too much like AMH. So they can do an AMH vault in a few years re-themed as Scooby Doo. They will charge 10k plus blood sample, written application and 2 separate rainbows.
Quoted from Eskaybee:will ben heck be programming it?
pretty much the single most important question!
Quoted from dmbjunky:If they try to continue to keep it Spooky and it's an old cartoon, is it Scooby?
Doo !!!!!
Quoted from Whysnow:Not all people will be impressed with every game. I am just impressed that we have another legit manufacturer that is cranking out games at a steady pace and from what I have seen has some very exciting titles on the way.
WHAT HAVE YOU SEEN?
Spooky Pinball is breaking new ground by offering a moderately priced purchase option once again. Go Spooky !
Quoted from Nevus:No need to worry about game #3. Charlie and KT are very serious about business.
nacho libre?
I really hope and pray its NOT Mad Max, the Munsters or Scooby Doo for the next pin.
I don't need another one right now!!!!
Don't tease or entice me again please. JK
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Iron Maiden pic on wall but think Stern have licence.
Good so that means MOTORHEAD is still an option down the road please.
Quoted from CaptainNeo:nacho libre?
That's what I'm talking about!
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/sterns-next-title-nacho-libre
Quoted from benheck:It sure as hell won't be the Munster's. Really can't wrap my head around why people want that so much.
Now here come the Yvonne deCarlo pics I suppose...
Munster Bash?
Quoted from pepermintswirl:Locke & Key fits the Spooky portfolio. Artwork by Gabriel Rodriguez? Droooool.....
Anything remotely Lovecraft would be badass.
Stern has a relationship with Warner brothers through the Batman releases, as does jjp from wizard of oz. I would be surprised if Stern hasn't already put some sort of options in place with Warner to secure/hold license on all possible future themes I.e jetsons/loony tunes/scooby etc... There have been lots of comments comming from insiders (Nate shivers/Jody/George Gomez) that stern has a ton of product in development. My guess is they have probally secured at least the options on a lot of themes and are now evaluating and conceptulising them to see which are viable to bring to market. If I was stern I would of already locked down scooby/jaws/gremlins/mad max etc.. Basically any of the most hyped potential themes mentioned in pinside. The biggest opportunity for stern competitors to grab market share is by selecting the right theme. If jjp had secured ghost busters or starwars as their first or second table, the market would be in a diffrent place right now guaranteed.
I also feel that 500 tables is to few for killer themes. I would much prefer to see scooby doo or any of the above done by Stern with unlimited runs in the pros and premiums, these sort of themes deserve 1000s of tables to be made so the public get to experience them through operators and there is a strong availability for the second hand market. Something like big trouble in little China or the munsters would suit a botique limited run of 500 tables though.
Moving on I would be really excited to see what spooky does when they have the opportunity to put a solid BOM budget on a new game. The added cost is not what will allow them to spend a lot more on each unit. It is the fact they seem confident they will sell 500 as opposed to 300 & 150 RZ/AMH. This is a lot more capital for the new game. Expect to see some innovative new toys/mechs. If anyone can bring a never before seen pinball mech to the market it would be Ben Heck. He just has that mad scientist vibe, plus the technical and engineering skills to pull something amazing out of the bag.
Looking forward to see what's coming next.
I think board game properties could be interesting. I really want to see King of Tokyo, but it seem to bright and campy for Spooky. I also think Pandemic could be really fun. Global epidemics are "spooky", right? I'd also really like to see a new western unlicensed game.
Betelgeuse would be a nice addition to the list. Scary theme and a bad ass. With a lot of humour and art work to use.
I'm a little sad that Spooky is teasing a new game and we're already primed to guess nothing but licenses. And Spooky would be smart to keep doing licensed games too, they sell. I just wish original themes were more viable.
But let's be honest, if Stern had announced a new game, with no pictures of it, and it was an original theme, it wouldn't sell the LEs out, and people wouldn't be lining up for the Super LEs with their application essays and SAT scores. People are buying the license right now, Batman is selling a game with nothing but some text on a flyer.
I thought Rob Zombie was an awesome choice of license, I'm sure Spooky will continue to pick good ones. And licensed games can be great! Just wish there was more room for original pins in the market is all.
Everything in Hollywood feels like a sequel, a franchise (Marvel universe for instance), a prequel, is based on a book series, or is remake or reimagining of an existing movie. When you see something original, like Stranger Things, it just feels more special now.

Although I'm happy with both licensed and unlicensed themes (depending on the theme of course), I agree with really appreciating originality these days. Stranger things is a great example and is awesome

I'm sad the thread degraded into the 387326th thread about the next theme, but then again, there's no real content in the announcement so it is what it is.

Well, apparently it was confirmed by Jack at JJPs open house so there is a good chance.
