I have old crappy laptops with TFT LCD's in them. I have a 2004 Vizio TFT 37" LCD in my basement and while the resolution is absolute garbage the colors do not look washed out at all.
My specific question is WHAT IS CAUSING THE WASHED OUT LOOK one these spooky displays.
Id like to pull the panel out of my stern and take it over and see if the problem is still present.
After some minor calibration, you can get better blacks and saturation. There’s buttons on the back I believe. I will when I get mine, but I also calibrate all my TVs and monitors.
Most displays, even TVs are poorly calibrated. Most pePlus variances across displays. I assume spooky doesn’t spend time calibrating and also uses a cheaper display.
