Quoted from manadams:You missed one between 6 & 7.
Thanks. That's kind of what I thought...it's the only place another shot could go. I couldn't tell anything definitive from the photos I've seen.
I'm getting a CE with butter decals. I am 1000% percent excited about this game, and Spooky should be very proud and thrilled with what they've done.
I think the game looks amazing. It's a fresh layout, jammed packed, a million shots, 3 upper playfields, full Carpenter soundtrack, movie assets, custom callouts from a major character, 7 physical ball locks, amazing artwork, etc...
My only (very slight) disappointment I have after looking at the photos and listening to the podcast, is that you can't travel up from the sanitarium to the house level. In my head after seeing the pics I figured you could work your way up the levels...that seemed like it would be really cool.
In the grand scheme of things, I probably won't care when I'm playing the game...there is so much packed in there.
My order of Halloween movies. (Not counting the Rob Zombie movies...I've only seen them once and didn't like them, and don't remember much about them)
Halloween
Halloween 2
Halloween 3
Halloween 4
Halloween 2018
Halloween H20
Halloween 5
Halloween 6 The Curse of MM
Halloween Resurrection
Every year in October I smoke a lot of bbq for a first responders/veterans appreciation day at our business. Last year we included medical professionals as well. We delivered about 300 free meals last year.
I stay up all night with the smoker, and always do a horror movie marathon outside. I always start with Halloween, and then mix it up from there. It will be cool if I have my game by then, but if not, it will be fun watching the movies, and knowing the game is coming.
I really appreciate Spooky for making one of my favorite movies into such a cool looking game!
Quoted from the_one:Before Halloween 2021?
I bet there's a good chance. If they are making close to 100 games a month and we have over 3 months until Halloween...I'd say there is a chance. A lot of variables could impact that.
Honestly it doesn't matter to me when I get it...I've never cared about the timing when getting a game, but it's fun to speculate.
Quoted from Cheeks:Chris @ kingpin is awesome. I've bought 5 or 6 games from him over the years and he's been great!
Just fond out I'm 123. Definitely earlier than I was expecting.
Agreed. Chris is awesome
Quoted from apessino:Halloween CE, Spooky direct, order 11477 went through on 07/07/21 at 9:38am, slot #278
Temperature was 73°, winds were calm, the marine layer was beginning to clear and give way to plenty of sunshine, the red-tailed California hawks were screeching in the distance, looking for prey.
This is my favorite pinside post of all time. Well done sir.
My .02 on what I've seen so far:
Basically, I think HWN looks incredible. Fresh layout, tons of shots, lots of atmosphere, inlane lifters work great, etc...Obviously, it's early code and when everything gets put in there I think it's going to be a great overall experience.
I'm pumped they have the video assets they need and the full soundtrack. I really liked the original music I heard as well.
I wish the sanitarium playfield had a VUK or ramp up to the house playfield, but all the playfields looks fun to shoot, and add nice variety to the gameplay.
Quoted from Morgoth00:Same. I know lots of people are saying that. And spooky mentioned possibly "another way coming" to get to the top floor. Fingers crossed!
Really? That would be awesome if you could get there from the Sanitarium level.
Quoted from Roostking:I doubt this will happen, it seems like it would take a lot of reengineering to add a ramp or a vuk this late in the design process.
Agreed. I would be very surprised to see it happen.
I'm not a fan of pop bumpers at all unless they add random chaos by being exposed, and/or I have to shoot through them like Congo, IMDN, etc...
I would rather that space used for something more fun/creative.
