Quoted from BallyKISS1978:STAY STILL!! Not encouraged by this but it was shot so poorly. I was more impressed with Ultraman and the two videos I saw were recorded by amateur fans. Hope more comes out to change my initial impressions.
You do realize these two guys aren’t pinball players? They work in the horror industry. Chill out dude.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:Not a dude and dont need to relax, giving my first impressions. And regardless being in the horror industry, they should know to keep still and quit moving so much.
This is why spooky should have released a good decent gameplay video. This is the first gameplay video we are seeing. From what I have seen between both pins, Ultraman looks and sounds better at the moment.
Hopefully we see some better gameplay reveal videos. First impressions are important, and for me I was more impressed with Ultraman and I am not a fan of the show at all.
Sorry this ruined your night. I’m sure that was these guys intention.
Quoted from Doctor6:I was wondering if there was no way to have a ball staged and ready to go so you dont have to wait so long for it to get to your flipper once it starts its arduous journey from the upper playfields on down.
Bug said during the broadcast they were working on ball staging, but it wasn’t ready to be implemented in time for last nights stream.
Quoted from Frax:Hm, that's an interesting take. It didn't really occur to me that's what they could've been going for. Usually fast action in stuff like that isn't really parsed out to quick moving frames like that (at least in my experience) so it kind of eluded me. But now that you mention it........yeah. If that's what they're going for in the animation style, then that car scene makes a lot more sense if it isn't a placeholder. It may have just seemed out of place without seeing more stuff like that in the game. I need to go back and re-watch that half of the stream again.
Check out the animations in Alice Cooper. Similar motion and they turned out great.
Quoted from thundergod76:How are the LEDs looking in person? I know on the Dead Flip stream they looked really bright.
The led strips aren’t overly bright at all with the plastic covers over them. The plastic seems slightly tinted.

Quoted from BallyKISS1978:Are the cabinets there all butter?
Just one of each title is butter.
Here’s a few more pics from different angles.

Where’d you get that nice photo of my friend?
Quoted from Morgoth00:Saw it on facebook
Just joking around. Those are pics I took yesterday and posted on the Spooky Fans FB page.
More pics from Friday. Running through the LED test.

Other than that…..they look identical IMHO
Sure you don’t have them backwards? The butter is glossy. And def has more saturated colors.
Quoted from Frax:6 balls for play, 1 for staging in left side lifter.
Not correct. There is no staged ball.
Quoted from Frax:At this time. Bug said they were working on trying to code it so that it will stage one in the left lifter.
So you admit you were incorrect.
I don’t think players are going to want the ball coming out any faster. The blocked view/ball coming out of nowhere is already a learning curve.
Quoted from Gotfrogs:I played the gage a bunch over the weekend and do want the balls to come out faster. Having to wait longer is not going to be helpful. The player just has more time to get distracted and start looking at the LCD.
Maybe from the right side coming from an upper playfield, but no use on the left. And never during a multiball.
Quoted from Frax:*shrug*
If you get hard by saying I'm incorrect, then sure, I'm incorrect. It's a shade of grey, not black or white.
It's not feasible to stage balls during a multiball...the code would be WAY too complicated, and not worth the effort.
You’re incorrect, but what do I know.
Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:They sell prototypes right off the show floor?
No, I have one of the early friends and family games. They said it would be ok if I mentioned it or showed it.
Quoted from Hayfarmer:Not interested in dick pics or waving, but id like to see pics of your game. Impatiently waiting for # 245 here!

I posted several pics a couple pages back. Lots of closeups of the playfield.
Quoted from dnapac:I say, put them back up. They were good pics and gave everyone a good idea of what to expect.
They’re still up.
Quoted from Aflacjack:Has anyone found this out?
Depending on how much your raise the back levelers, around 87”.
Quoted from Mudflaps:Nice! Remember to post only vague and ambiguous thoughts with few pictures and little information.
Yeah dnapac ! You work for Pinside now!
Enjoy your game buddy.
Quoted from Roostking:Definitely with no topper vid!
[quoted image]
Whysnow can help you out I'm sure.
Quoted from BallyKISS1978:So NDA for early arrived games?
NDA? No. Spooky didn’t ask me to withhold anything.
Quoted from finnflash:Is the knife on the topper supposed to be in front of the title?
I changed mine to see how it looked. I like seeing more of the knife.
Quoted from GrandFireball1:Do the first 50 not come with the knife handle shooter rod?
They weren’t ready at the time I received mine.
Quoted from pinmister:RebelGuitars needs a TNA and orange speaker lights for Halloween
Quoted from MK6PIN:Really like the speaker light effect in this one (along w other stuff) !!!
You've owned (own) many games....beyond honeymoon effect, how's the vibe on this one for you?
It’s still early in code, but there were more modes/animations/movie clips/callouts in it than I expected there to be. Loving the music. It shoots really well. The upper pfs are challenging, but very fun.
There was a code update a couple days ago that’s added more to what was in the games in Atlanta. I’m sure there’s a lot more coming.
I would say it’s their best shooting game to date, as well as their best looking game. I love the powder coating and the orange plastic protectors. They really make the game pop.
Quoted from SLAMT1LT:Watched the update vid: quite an accomplished game, very impressive for a small company. Like I've mentioned before, there isn't much to the game because there isn't much to the movie. Seems to me there's only 3 major modes - Hedge, Sanatorium and House. It most likely will improve, as they will find extra little features to add.
My suggestion would be to add extra modes that can be unlocked by collecting blood, for example:
10 blood - Michael breaks into the store and steals his iconic Captain Kirk mask and kitchen knife.
15 blood - A random shot appears on the playfield...is it a Trick or is it a Treat? A treat could be a Special or Extra Ball. A Trick - all pf lights turn off and 1 flipper is disabled for 10 seconds.
20 blood - Young Michael puts on the clown mask and in POV moves through the house, ultimately killing his sister.
25 blood - See anything you like? The scene everyone wants - Michael slays Bob Simms in the kitchen, then wears the bedsheet to take out Lynda Van Klok.
Just a few ideas, to help pack out the game with fan-favorite moments.
Odd you’d be offering advice after shitting on the game all this time. There’s 6 selectable modes in the game already other than the three multiball modes, plus a 7 ball lock wizard mode coming. I think Luke and the guys are doing just fine.
I hope Spooky doesn’t waste their timing with ball staging. Because then you’ll get a group crying for a ball save every time the ball immediately pops out and drains while their still looking at the upper mini playfield.
And how are you suppose to get the balls back to the staging state after a multiball?
Added orange anodized lock nuts in 6/32 and 8/32. Matches well with the orange plastic protectors.

I ordered mine from LED4Pin, but Marco carries them also. I think both are currently out of stock.

Quoted from Mad_Dog_Coin_Op:This does look good. Do you have a count of how many of each are needed?
2 8/32 and 30 6/32
