Congrats to everyone that got a Halloween that wants one!

Folks keep saying the knife shooter rod is the additional toy, but it is called out separately in the descriptions.
Just a heads up, the folks on the UKR thread from "down under" have begun getting their numbers. It sounds like some of the early builds will be for overseas. No idea if this is b/c of distributor or just a consolidation effort.
Quoted from Morgoth00:HELL YAH I just won a CE Halloween/Ultraman machine in the raffle!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!
Quoted from icyjones:Got my email directly from Spooky. Number 58! Pumped.
What was your invoice # if you don't mind. Just curious. Okay if you don't want to share that.
Quoted from BWT67:11386 / #170 CE
Quoted from Lopa:Halloween CE
Ordered from spooky
Invoice # 11386
Production # 168
Odd that two people have the same Invoice #
The first 50 are a mix of things. On the Ultraman thread we have a few guys from Oz that are under 50, and one of the Project Pinball raffles is #16. But yes, if you want a low number, direct is the way to go.
Quoted from finnflash:Was in the middle of watching H20 and I got my email #, literally when she cuts off Michael's head. Great timing!!
SPOILER
Quoted from icyjones:So the box fits in the back? I guess ultimately I could just email Spooky for the dimensions.
I agree with a minivan.
1) Depends on time of year (snow , etc..)
2) You can have Spooky shrink wrap but not box it up. So easy to load in van with legs off.
3) Lots easier to unload from a minivan than from a pickup when you get home.
If it is skidded you have to consider how to unload.
Quoted from Boycer:CE #56
Order #11310
Ordered from Spooky.
Hell yea
Hey! We have the same number... (only mine's an Ultraman.)
Just two days ago SpookyLuke said they have 30 games on the line being built. Maybe they just want to build one that is not the prototype for a proper game play video.
Quoted from DeathHimself:Unfortunately I was told " Probably not " when asked if I would see it by Halloween. Oh well but don't think it will to far long off from then anyway when they get to good rhythm going. Still going to be worth the wait.
I posted this on the Ultraman thread, but it includes projections of build schedule for Halloween too.
Take it with a grain of salt (and maybe a shot of tequila)

Quoted from LTG:FOS - Festival Of Samhain
LTG : )
Hah!
If we are going there....
FoASE - Feast of All Saints Eve
Quoted from Bmanpin:so he said he wouldn't be streaming it Friday or Sunday. maybe this Saturday???
Makes sense if he needs to drive to Benton to stream.
Jack suggested 6 CT.
There was a lot to set up though as he will have two setups with Halloween and Ultraman
OMG the sound track is awful ...... ly good.
I am loving this!
Like i am not stressed out enough playing pinball
Quoted from RobT:I was surprised when I heard bug talk about the 5 ramp shots to qualify. Seems like there would be more creative ways of qualifying the upper pf.
RobT did you see the hidden skill shot near the beginning (that Jack managed to nail) that unlocked the UPF?
You drop the middle DT and then goal post the other two so you can hit the ramp.
Hey Folks,
I updated the "Date Projection" spreadsheet to include fields where you can enter your build number.
This can give a rough projection of when your machine would be ready to ship.
Please do not harass Spooky with these date projections. This is just for fun and intended to distract from some of the vitriol.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jt4M6GTDQVdQ4uxgR5mvglB1n-1K0KOkGfWCBuT91vY/edit?usp=sharing
Quoted from GreenMachine19:Link doesn't seem to work.
Try again, I changed permissions to allow edit.
Quoted from SpookyLuke:"a very involved staff"
Well stated!
I am sure there are all kinds of hoops to jump thru.
Keep going team Spooky we are all rooting for you!
I wouldn't worry too much about the screen cuts for Halloween or the music. There is a ton of content that can be integrated. I am sure Spooky is dealing with a lot of "opinions" on exactly what should be used where and how many times.
As stated previously Tsubaraya was totally on board with handing the Ultraman reins to Spooky. They've probably been waiting for this for a long time.
The owners of Halloween IP don't want a failure anymore than the rest of us. After the stream I would've probably grabbed one of these if I had not already ordered an Ultraman and had enough clams to do so.
This game is in beta and will be a glorious addition to the Spooky line IMHO, once the red tape is cut through.
Add in the fact that most of us likely won't keep a mode active nearly as long as Dead Flip.
The clips may be EXTERMELY short for some of us.
Quoted from RC_like_the_cola:.... Spectral Glass, Ghost Glass, Class 5 Free Roaming Vapor Glass
Hahaha Spirit Glass, Banshee Glass, Phantom Glass, its endless.
Quoted from hawkeyexx:If your HWN arrives before mine does my wife will be over for the unboxing celebration
Without you hawkeyexx ?
Quoted from Ty-Arnold:I went standard because I am not rich, closer to poor. I'm 1225 so it's a long wait. Still happy with my decision.
Totally get it. However, as my grandfather always said, "I may be broke, but I'll NEVER be poor."
Quoted from Roostking:I might go with this powder coat [quoted image]
Mmmm looks like Spam Musubi
Quoted from Kkoss24:Not complaining at all but Ultaman has 3 different looking buildings on the left I believe
IMHO It makes sense that the hedges are the same while the buildings are different.
The hedge is in the movie and MM is one guy that you are chasing/being chased by, and don't know where he will pop out.
In Ultraman, the alien kaiju Baltan replicates himself to confuse the enemy, so multiple huge Baltans in a broken cityscape is a different situation.
Quoted from kciaccio:Marco video...

Same "X-Ray" video on Youtube for those that are FB challenged.
Good shot of the lifter mechanisms.
Quoted from Travahontas:We just spent the weekend in ATL at the SFGE. Y’all probably heard 4 of the spooky squad drove through the night from Benton to bring 2 Halloween’s and 2 UMs to the show - what a treat!! The games look even better in person and shoot super smooth. I’m excited to watch the code mature - Bug has lots of ideas! THANKS SPOOKY!
You know, that's a really good point. These guys drive halfway across the states hauling 4 machines, that as far as they are concerned are sold out. They did NOT have to take 4 or even 2, heck they didn't even have to go, yet here they are bending over backwards to give the industry ample opportunity to beat them up on their latest accomplishments.
Just goes to show you they are in it for the "love of the game".
Hats off guys, good job giving folks a taste of all that is Spooky.
Quoted from Frax:Honest question, because I'm not really familiar with Spooky's prior games...
They did not use wire looms (twisting) on past games.
They did use 3d printed posts to zip-tie wires to.
I suspect it has more to do with clean up rather than attenuation and EMF interference.
What we are seeing is the difference between traditional GI versus individually addressable RGB LEDs for every single lighting element.
Lots more wires.
Quoted from Frax:Right, yeah. The PC's I built for my wife and myself last year have ARGB fans.... 4 wires for LEDs and 3 wires for the fan power. It's pretty insane what the hidden part of my case looks like. The O11 Dynamic XL's we're using have *9* RGB fans when you include the ones on the AIO water cooling, so it's a mess of connectors and daisy chains in the back of our cases. It's a lot of bloody wires.
Add in the controller boards provide two channels of 80 LEDs each.
They said they are using something like 70 per channel on these games.
For anyone still curious on pin readiness dates I made this a while back.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jt4M6GTDQVdQ4uxgR5mvglB1n-1K0KOkGfWCBuT91vY/edit#gid=0
There is also another doc elsewhere on this thread listing the reported numbers.
Note: Just noticed the formula for HWN CE < 1000 was broke. Better now.
Quoted from rotordave:I think people got some unrealistic expectations on timeframes early on.
They presumed there would instantly be 20 games a week churning out of the factory. From the launch date.
When I saw people saying “I’m #18x, I should get my game by Halloween!” I knew there was going to be some disappointment happening.
rd
Agreed, The projections i built were for entertainment.
I expect things to shift right a bit once shipping begins and the build rate gets dialed in.
Right now there are a lot of assumptions in the projections too.
I suspect the real build rate should be known by end of September or October sometime. (another guess)
Quoted from John-Floyd:Just doing some planning here... Anyone know who spooky uses for freight, how much the shipping costs are at checkout, and how long it would approx take to arrive near chicago? I live about 2-1/2 hrs away and wondering if I should just rent a truck and pick it up myself…possible LTL shipping damage are of concern or should I not worry about that…
My R&M came by R+L but i believe some folks had FedEx deliver theirs.
Looking at just under $400 for shipping.
If i were 2.5 hrs away, i'd drive and pick it up for the same reasons you mentioned.
My R&M had a little carton damage but nothing wrong with the pin.
Quoted from Hayfarmer:How many do you anticipate shipping each week?
More than once they've said 20 - 40 per week. Avg is 30/wk. Ratio is 2.5 HWN to every UM.
Quoted from radfordian3505:Wow ok. so they are still not shipping games yet just the 1st 50 still. I'm #159 and feel like the chance I was gonna get it by Halloween is all but gone now
You may yet be surprised. I think your game would still be on track for mid-late Oct.
Good luck.
Quoted from kciaccio:What is the lead time from invoice until built? If they are doing 20 per week that is a 3 week lead time. Do they invoice days before it being built? I thought the invoice 3 weeks before game is done.
With R&M:
- received/returned the build sheet on 11/30/20
- received/paid invoice on 12/3/20
- BoD was 12/16/20
Only build option for these machines is butter.
Contact for butter decision is 3 weeks prior to build start. "Approximately 3 weeks before your game goes on the line"
So invoice should be darn close to the 3 weeks prior email.
Quoted from ultimategameroom:So what is my approx. delivery date if I’m Halloween #539?
Approx: 2/27/22
I'd guess end of Feb early Mar.
Quoted from John-Floyd:Safe to ask what #’s are on the line now or will this get downvoted?
not downvoted but likely not answered either
Quoted from John-Floyd:Thanks guys. Overall liking what I’ve seen so far. Game looks great and will only get better as we go. Nice to know they are at #70 and things are progressing well on the line. I’m expecting my call next week for butter or no butter.
And thank you to the spooky team for chiming in every so often - that goes a long way in my book. Keep up the great work.
Keep in mind 70 units is split between both models.
Sounds like approx 50 Halloween and 20 Ultraman.
I would guess you will get the email next week at #78. Following week at the latest.
Quoted from lpeters82:Thanks for the updates SpookyLuke. It's a beautiful evening in southern Wisconsin. I might suggest a drink, fire, and Brewers game.
[quoted image]
Too funny.
When i looked at this on my phone it looked like some sort of hibachi in your kitchen.
Easier to see you are outdoors on my laptop.
Quoted from SLRage:(He seems about 8 beers and 2 bong hits deep for sure )
Dude is baked.
Folks complained about the sound, its b/c he is playing with the glass off.
Good to be excited. The speed at which things escalate on Pinside always makes me shake my head.
It's only pinball.
I readjusted the baseline of the data estimator adding 3 weeks as nobody has reported receiving a build notice yet.
This shifts all the dates to the right. (which actually works for me [UM #56] having broken my shoulder over Labor Day weekend)
If things ramp up I can shift it back to left for a true up.
For now we are all still a little in the dark as to the build/release schedule.
Here is the link again:
Open to feedback.
Quoted from Spacemanratso09:I’m really leaning on buying Halloween
I saw this same thing firsthand with R&M.
Spooky Pinsiders seem to repeatedly go through the 3 big Fs
FOMO - impulse buys due to a Fear of Missing Out
FUD - due to the impatience that comes from buying from boutique, some suffer Fear Uncertainty and Doubt and sometimes sell their pre-orders.
FANTASTIC - the amazing support, communication and awesome games that some out of the Spooky machine leave you with a Fantastic gaming experience.
Saw this and thought of y'all

Quoted from JeffreeStar:Halloween #666 is officially home. Can't wait to unbox this and get some plays in tonight!!
[quoted image]
Congrats! Looks like a Halloween bash planned for WY.
Quoted from TreyBo69:And just to say, I get this is all very early code with lots of stuff needing fleshing out before polish on animations/sounds/scoring-balance. I still mildly regret not immediately pulling out the CC for Ultraman and figuring out the details later.
Just an FYI there are some UMs out on Pinside marketplace with no markup.
Quoted from John-Floyd:Cool thank you. It stated R&L on the invoice, but they have not contacted me yet. Work is just giving me shit because I have no firm date I’m taking off yet for the delivery.
Check to see if you were given a tracking number with R&L.
You can get a lot of info from here.
https://www2.rlcarriers.com/freight/shipping/shipment-tracing
Quoted from John-Floyd:Thanks - Still a tad early as I just paid in full last week. I’m sure they’ll reach out to set a time to make sure I’m home.
Ooohh okay. Squirrel will email you to see if you will be able to take delivery, then provide you with the shipment number for tracking it.
When it hits the local DC R&L should give you a ring to schedule delivery.
Quoted from Ilushka85:I was the buyer and yes it sold for the equivalent of 15k. I had a later number and wanted one in my house for my halloween party.
Congrats and Happy Halloween!
Quoted from Lostcause:Made my first pumpkin and my birthday is Halloween! Took me over half a century to do one lol
[quoted image]
That's no pumpkin it's a Jack-o-Lantern, and a fine one at that!
Happy Birthday!
