I'm assuming there will be a "family" mode? For those with a R&M or RZ, do the Spooky family modes moderate both audio and video? I realize this is far from a family-friendly title, just wondering how many years I should plan on until I can let my kid play it without subjecting her to terrible nightmares! I might stick this one in my workshop. I'll have to hide the clown side for sure, but that's mostly for my sake...
Quoted from TheLaw:Yeah I don;t know how much you can change it; it's scary. Dont think my daughter will be loving it....yet she likes TWD so maybe, .
Yup, you're right. Luckily, plenty other games for her to play, I may just stick this in the back room or leave it off/cover it when she plays. She may play games with me once/month anyways and mostly is interested in Pacman. She's not easily freaked out, so I don't anticipate a problem, but if there is, I'm sure I'll have no problem selling it.
Quoted from FatPanda:That's what we did I wouldn't have bought a Halloween, even though I really don't "shelter" my kids from anything, I'd just rather they not be afraid of a pinball machine. Spooky sold us a game in Ultraman when we would have otherwise passed.
That's a great point. Ultraman looks truly incredible. I just wish I was more invested in the theme. I'm a horror movie nut, and my wife and I watch Halloween ever year (it's the only horror film she'll watch with me!)
Quoted from Lopa:My wife was never into horror until I got her watching “the last drive in” on shudder. Now we host friends twice a week to watch horror movies.
Shudder is awesome. I'll have to check out The Last Drive In. Also recommend "Host" if you haven't seen it. Would be a fun movie to watch with a group.
Quoted from Lopa:Host is great!
Just make sure to check what movies joe Bob is playing there we’re some real stinkers this season.
Will do. On a side note, just caught your podcast. Good stuff, man. Keep it up!
Quoted from MK6PIN:Had forgotten how good it was....more excited than ever to see how Spooky goes at this and getting the game.....
It’s a great film. I’m younger than the movie and still one of my favorites. Pacing is perfect. Holds up incredibly well.
SE #1196
I'm in the no spoilers camp... Hoping I have the willpower to avoid any gameplay videos or location play for a year!

Off topic - I think I can see my ACNC in the background. Hoping for #500!
Was trying to hold out on watching video until I got my game, but couldn’t help myself
Lots of great atmosphere in this game for me, which is an area Spooky games excel. Really like how the music slowly builds into moments, much like the film. Not your typical high octane pinball soundtrack, which I appreciate. Really like the art style of the animations. Looking forward to seeing how the code, animations, etc continue progressing. Layout looks unique, fun, & smooth. Glad I watched it, feeling even more pumped.
Quoted from RebelGuitars:Check out the animations in Alice Cooper. Similar motion and they turned out great.
Agreed. They look really good on ACNC, more of a comic book approach to the concept, complete with page change animations sort of like the intro to Creepshow if you've seen that. I don't find them inherently comical or off putting (like in Monty Python, e.g.). The style works great in context IMHO.
I could see where some might find the Halloween animation style a little jarring in contrast to a very serious theme, but personally, I like the animation style so far for Halloween. Once they incorporate more movie clips, smooth out some of the transitions, and add some additional animations/tweaks, I'd guess most people will dig it when they're actually standing in front of the machine.

The hearse was $3k — that was paid for with 3x butter savings on my Spooky pins.
And the memories? Priceless!
Even Satchel agrees!

Oh wow. It’s an actual hearse. I just assumed you guys were talking about an obscure Zaccaria title.
Quoted from Chief_G:Good day fellow pinheads. I have one on order and believe in Spooky and this game. I only have one concern and it is about the sound system. My Rick and Morty sound was so awesome, but the bass made the PF glass rattle big time, that became rather annoying quickly. Any inputs? Hopefully that has been remedied for this game.
Thanks, Dave
Yes, this is the challenge with an epic sound system, and probably why people who upgrade subwoofers put them underneath the cabinets. On ACNC, I had to do a few things to get rid of the rattle. I added felt tape to the glass, added spacers between the cabinet and the subwoofer, and turned down the sub volume. Sounds so good though... Crystal clear and you can feel it.
Quoted from Chief_G:Yeah, I tried that on RnM and it worked somewhat, but did not eliminate it. Plus it made removing inserting glass very tight. Probably operator error...
Maybe I just use external sub if I have the same problem. Thanks for the input.
Gotcha. I also put felt under the lockdown bar where it was making contact with the glass. I believe that made a difference. Even with the tape, I had to crank the sub down way down on mine to hit the sweet spot where I had some control over the master volume without having to keep it on 1. Granted, I keep the volume on my games pretty quiet. Still sounds great though
