Quoted from mrgone:Time warner owns Cartoon Network, Hanna Barbara, Adult swim boomerang etc.
Scooby do makes sense.
Spooky seem pretty confident they have a theme that will really sell.
They see what people ask for and like Stern, try and get the license.
I think the theme that fits most is Back to the Future.
That would sell a 1000 plus.
I’m the only person it seems that doesn’t give a damn about back to the future or ninja turtles.
My vote.
Fifth element or fire fly.
Neither would have very broad appeal.

Probably something out of the blue. Hamilton. The play sold out all over. Movie coming.
LTG : )

Looking at TNA, and Rick and Morty. Charlie definitely has a grip on titles/games people want.
Sure is going to be an exciting year for pinball.

Most people don't even remember Fifth Element (if they were even alive then).
And while Firefly is at least newer (and more popular), its time (unfortunately) has passed.
A new Dr. Who pin would be epic, incorporating 50 years of different Doctors, companions and villains. It would be a theme that does well internationally as well.

Other than the entire franchise shitting the bed...sure?

No, you are not alone.
Or just about every other antique theme the pinside masses have come up with in this thread so far.

Reread my post. I recognized this.

Yup. Honestly, I would like more original themes. Unfortunately, too many here and in the world simply lack the ability to compose an independent thought or opinion.

I'm just going to wait to see what it is. If it's something I can relate to, great!
If it's something from the 80s, which is so out now, I'll just enjoy my Rick and Morty and wait to see what's next.

I'd rather it be Bill & Ted
Quoted from Zablon:How many of a Scooby Doo would actually sell though? You don't see too many people with Scooby Doo collections.
I'd be very interested in Scooby Doo. I'm not a super fan of the show, but the theme would just translate really well to pinball.
Quoted from Zablon:Ebola: The Pin.
My retheme is feeling a bit too real. Lower playfield is at the printer. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to get the upper playfield done before "the end", LOL.
Back to the Future, honestly, seems like too big a license. No offence to Charlie and crew, but that's a pretty giant property with some seriously finicky licensing restrictions.
Quoted from Whysnow:I am not sure if it just your wording or you dont get it?
Nobody lost money with unrealized sales on R&M
This is about new collaborations and team work moving forward.
You are correct that Stern has surely taken notice (they did before with their Dankberg moves to grab licences from Spooky)
I get it
So does Spooky
That's why CGC is a partner
Captured sales = money
Unrealized sales = no money
With new Matrix and John Wick movies coming, either one would be a big hit. I'm a sucker for the John Wick franchise.
Quoted from Zablon:Maybe it's R&M2 *cough* How crazy would that be.
Toxic R&M!

I would be down just to see what they came up with for the immaculate conception

You’re welcome.

Just start humming On Wisconsin. That should get rid of Meatloaf.

That's not even in the bible! Not the same thing as the virgin birth.
Quoted from middaleman:My favorite thing in life : person on Pinside bitching that Stern is one big money grab. 2 posts later, same person bitching that Spooky isn't.
I love you people. You make me feel so smart.
11 posts in 16 years, this is impressive.
Quoted from Bublehead:Wake up, Neo...
The Matrix has you...
Follow the white rabbit.
Knock, knock, Neo.
That would be awesome!
Ben...any idea when more details will come out? I know it will be a while, but...I'm hopeful and confident in what we may see!
