Quoted from Medisinyl:FREDDY 3's READY Would fit with the available letters
Wishful thinking for a Dream Warriors pin
Quoted from Beechwood:To be fair, if I had done it, there would be tape on my monitor...
Yes it was intentional, I figured it wasn't worth the time for people not to believe, so quick and dirty.
Quoted from PinMonk:If it was a LaserActive, you'd really have a Goodwill story for the ages.
I thought you were going to go down the Videodisc path but yours would be more impressive for sure.
3e68c4eaea45a40ac789950f79561381 (resized).jpgQuoted from Tiki-Ed:[quoted image]
Quoted from oneballjab:Ooh this could be very cool.
I was thinking maybe Outer Limits but this would be a better fit.
Outer Limits would be fun, while going old school, The Prisoner could be fun as well. I am sure everyone here enjoys us going back in time with TV series.
the-prisoner-1 (resized).jpgNow let's get serious, the next film is to be released in August.
Quoted from TigerLaw:90’s Outer Limits was awesome, but limited popularity. Of course, Spooky only needs a theme to have enough popularity to sell 500-1,000 games…
One pin that I would but in a heartbeat would be an Interview with the Vampire (Ann Rice) theme. The 90’s movie with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise was great, but the entire Lestat book series is great. Like so many other things though, not enough fans.
They just need to make sure whatever machine is released that someone can make a topper, if they haven't already.
Quoted from mrclean:That reminded me of this gem:[quoted image]
Another classic, but the cast of House features...
u-g-Q10ZXZC0 (resized).jpgQuoted from TheCreature:Luke did say something about "Super Awesome" in the last video... Can't hear those words without thinking of Christopher Franchi, right?
Guess we'll find out. I'm genuinely confused but I like your theory.
He's done some work with horror...
christopher-franchi-halloween (resized).pngchristopher-franchi-the-evil-dead (resized).pngQuoted from oneballjab:Not a chance you can tell what it is or isn’t just from this...[quoted image]
Some art on the side of a cabinet on a Spooky pinball machine.
Quoted from KingPinGames:for when it is ready. there is no set date. someone (who shall not be name <cough, Charlie, cough> stated Juneish, which people turned into June 1st, then 2nd and so on. When the game, materials, marketing, videos, websites, armored trucks for the money, etc are all ready, then it will be announce and unvieled.
has anyone guessed Scooby Doo? That would be fun... What about Beetlejuice?
Personally I am rooting for Bible Adventures, but only God knows how hard that license would be to get.
anyways, back to the speculation special.
other than the occasional tech note or sales call, this thread is the main reason i come to Pinside. good job you guys!
It is another rock n' roll themed machines but with a twist... and Roger Corman!
910QMkZylGL._SL1500_ (resized).jpgQuoted from mrclean:While I’d consider a Scooby Doo I’d much rather a JAWS pin.... both would lend themselves very well to pinball.
[quoted image]
Or even better, Jabberjaw!
Jabberjaw_Main_Title_Card (resized).jpgQuoted from 6S3NC3:Well we know now that its Halloween!!
Lets all yell and scream for pics/art now.
Franchi art maybe?
tumblr_najwtaVZ9X1qg8i80o4_1280 (resized).jpgQuoted from blueberryjohnson:Ben Heck's Zombie Adventureland?
Build it and they will come.
Quoted from aeonblack:So many awesome movies! I would love an apocalypse trilogy pin (The Thing, Prince Of Darkness, In The Mouth Of Madness).
And of course his first commercial film, Assault on Precinct 13, who can forget that theme song?
Assault-on-Precinct-13_thumb_1000 (resized).pngI think at this point Spooky's business decisions have been some of the most successful in pinball in recent years. Please note, I'm writing this from Rebellion Brewery in Wisconsin.
Quoted from BigT:Almost as scary as eating their products
But they are testing self-driving delivery!
Nuro-Hero.df8903e (resized).jpgQuoted from jonesjb:Tobe Hooper's The Funhouse.
It's a similar stalker theme to Halloween, so perhaps a re-skin could work. And the design could be gorgeous.
If we are going down Tobe's work, I vote for Lifeforce!
Over 11K views for 30 seconds of the Halloween theme song and Spooky's information. While not what Rick and Morty reached in that period of time, I find it impressive. I imagine the news 'getting out' helps.
Quoted from Borygard:LOL! I've known the theme for years at this point, and haven't said a thing. I'm just excited for everyone to see everything. Spooky's done a fantastic job from what I've seen thus far.

Meatloaf and Marvel, has Spooky pulled it off?

I say no more, I say no less.
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:I didn’t think Jack’s post could be topped. You did it in 5 minutes. Bravo!
Thanks, he is good for providing motivation when it comes to memes.
Quoted from Kkoss24:I thought I figured it out 180 pages ago !I read far too much on the 11 theme parks around the world that had Scooby Doos Haunted Castle rides in they’re parks .Then Meatloaf enters the mix ! I am close to speechless... and that says a lot! It looks awesome!

Can I watch one of yours from 20 years ago or so?
Quoted from Rarehero:Ultraman looks amazing!
Wow. Which to get?!?!
And you're not the only one asking that question. Flip of a coin?
Quoted from yancy:As soon as I heard that callout in the video, my first thought was this will be a dealbreaker for some. "Valley girl? I'm out!" Not saying I have a problem with it, for the record.
You weren't thinking of Stripes or Rock n' Roll High School?
Quoted from spooky_dj:I hope so! Quite the life decision to jump in!
Nah; they're all great to work with! (they're watching!.....)
I hope to in the near future! Maybe next game??
Welcome and enjoy the insanity!
Quoted from yancy:Before my time! Ashamed to say I've seen neither.
Before your time? You realize you can watch film noir from the 40's today, right? Do yourself a favor and at least watch Rock n' Roll High School. A Roger Corman film featuring The Ramones, slam dunk! Now back to Halloween and Ultraman.
Quoted from insight75:Another LIONMAN!
LIONMAN vs. ULTRAMAN? I will not predict a winner...
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:As if getting to work with a dream theme, going to Japan, having others embrace our quirky love of all things crazy campy kaiju wasn't enough... how about artist Matt Fank landing a Marvel cover with our backglass???!!! So happy... so proud of everyone who helped us make this all happen.

Could today be any cooler for Spooky Pinball or their fans? Awesome!
Quoted from musketd:Will we get to see pics of all three versions of both games; before ordering opens up?
Quoted from blastbeat:Hope so i went to grab one and now I'm sad
I imagine there may have been a number in inventory that once at 0 removed the item. I don't think they don't want to sell a membership to anyone, so I speculating that they need to get to update the record so they appear again. If so, here is the direct link that was previously provided on the website.

Quoted from Venom77:So I just have to say.. Rick and Morty theme is not more popular. Not sure why so many people believe the horror genre wont justify sales especially at a low edition run.
Here are some company's right now that sale Michael Myers stuff in the so called POP culture we live in today. If anyone is interested in cool stuff in the horror genre then highly recommend you check out the following just to start. A lot of the items will display nicely with your new Halloween Spooky machine There are many more but just a FYI.

Are you guys serious? You now have taken down RallyUp. Sorry for anyone looking to purchase a raffle ticket right now, but we hope to be back online soon. Ultraman and Michael Myers team up to destroy the Internet!
Quoted from Zablon:Yeah, in these backwater towns where houses are under 200k you have to give up the good things in life like bumper to bumper traffic, people being hateful walking down the street, homeless everywhere, people flipping you off as they pass, Starbucks on every corner etc. It's not for everyone.
And you can pay a visit to the Amana Colonies for some great beef jerky and fruit wines!
Quoted from Zablon:Man I haven't been there since the Brickhaus closed!
It closed? That's too bad, it has been a long time since we've been out that way but always enjoyed our time there.

Quoted from Manic:I'm going to test your theory next release. Dusting off my old US Robotics 14.4 as we speak. Was quite the speed demon way back when.
I started with Hayes Smartmodem 300 to USR HST 9600, I will stop there but let's say 14.4K means you were rocking it my friend.
Quoted from Zablon:Ah man....Atari 800. Loved that thing. The town I lived in was long distance to everywhere so I was never allowed to get a modem for it
Old-school computing talk with metallik will extend this thread pages! Let me know when you guys get up the 1040ST or A500.
Quoted from Manic:Well I did slog my way through a 1200 all the way to the USR. I also started on a Atari 800 with the shoebox sized floppy drive then went into the Amiga scene. Back then the worry was your phone bill when connecting to private BBS's. Of course those crafty euro's had a million schemes around that
.
And you were spending countless hours to crack Psygnosis games...
Quoted from mrclean:Lemmings would make for a decent theme would spend hours with those little critters... felt bad when I needed to hit the nuke button.
Lemmings was a good one, the box art on Psygnosis was great and who can forget Obliterator!
Obliterator-Psygnosis-Amiga-boxed (resized).jpg
And remember having to do this?
Quoted from Jackrabbt:110 Baud Teletype KSR33 with an accoustic coupler. Connected to the university BBS and played Startrek!
Impressive. I remember a co-op game for the Amiga, it set up like a BBS to have the other player dial-in, there was a message window and you could start the game. It was some form of racing game, I can't remember the name. The first hard drive I had was a Seagate 63MB I had setup on the system.

Cool event that was exploding in size pre-covid. Highly recommended. I'm gonna have a table of.... Stuff there this year.
It is definitely a good time. I haven't been there since the first year they moved to the new location from the basement of the other building.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:No. You dont. Guy in my league won Hobbit a few years back. Project Pinball takes care of everything. Dont spread false information.
I work for the charity and confirmed before posting. It may have changed since he won the raffle, I can't speak to that. Thanks.
Quoted from KnockerPTSD:Thank you for clarification as ive sent many fellow Canadians to the raffles site but ive definitely told them shipping costs were included. You guys rock. I was literally under the knife at the exact time you started and sold out the Spooky raffle though so i missed that one
Thanks for the support and no worries, I touched base to make sure that we were all on the same page in regards to our Canadian friends!
Quoted from Bmanpin:Halloween 2022 or will we see these this Halloween? I don’t even care!!!
You'll be seeing this one...
s-l1600 (2) (resized).jpgQuoted from Rarehero:It was always a horrible way to experience film or video. Even when it was pretty much the only choice. I’m so glad it’s no longer the norm to watch a movie cropped in half to fit 4:3. I spit on VHS’s grave!

I was excited when plasma hit the market, as I had thought about buying a widescreen CRT at one point!
ER55WXoXYAEgS2Y (resized).jpgQuoted from metallik:More importantly, those flat-screen Wegas had much thicker glass than your standard curved tube to prevent implosion. A 36" JVC D-Series is 50lbs lighter than a 36" Wega.
The depth was impressive from my memory. And watching widescreen on our regular TV, people always asking about the black lines and why the image was so small.
Quoted from paulbaptiste:I just fucking won the raffle!!
Congratulations! It is coming to Illinois!
Quoted from paulbaptiste:It is coming to lowly Danville, Illinois. I have Halloween on order so will get his counterpart.
You aren't all that far off the beaten path, I've traveled a fair amount of the state and there are plenty of 'more' lowly places.
And there will be another Spooky CE pinball machine raffle coming Tuesday (13th), tickets will go on sale at noon est. But they don't have a third title being released...
Quoted from insight75:So you are saying you want Faces of Death Pin? Great idea!
Dr. Francis B. Gross!
Quoted from TreyBo69:So a lot of people are saying they want a Nightmare on Elm Street pin. I had never seen the movies, although I got the gist through pop culture osmosis (in particular Scary Terry in R&M and that one Treehouse of Horror segment that legit terrified me when I was 8). I plowed through all of them over a couple days, curious about how well it would translate to pinball. It would need to be an original adventure, because I don't think any one particular movie would be great for pinball.
Here are my two cents while I kill time between meetings
Elm Street 1 = the original. The production values are pretty low but it works well enough. It sets up the basic mythos and rules of the franchise. I didn't love it, but I respect it for the originality of the idea and starting the franchise. It's solid
Elm Street 2 = super gay. Not in a derogatory way, but actually gay. Some of it is a bit problematic in 2021 lenses, but all the subtext makes it more interesting than some of the later movies. I didn't know this going in and halfway through the movie I had to take a break to make sure I wasn't imagining it. Then I saw it was intentional and is considered a somewhat important work in gay cinema. It breaks certain rules of the franchise and is mostly ignored in cannon (probably for the best). They recently made a documentary about this entry and I want to check it out.
Elm Street 3 = easily the best one in the franchise. If you only see one, this is the one. Best production values in the series. Interesting and great kills. Does a great job expanding the mythos and rules of the franchise. Freddy's personality is fully realized by this point with a nice blend of menace, vulgar antagonism, and funny one liners. The only one I would consider re-watching.
Elm Street 4 = solid follow up to 3. It's fine
Elm Street 5 = interesting premise but incredibly boring. Only one fun kill that is a rip off of Monty Python's The Meaning of Life
Elm Street 6 = what is this slapstick train wreck? Did they realize they were killing the franchise during production and decide to go with it for the name of the movie? It's like a dark comedy that isn't funny (Carlos's kill is a little amusing). Its tone is all over the place. The highlight is when it's over and they do a montage of all the iconic moments from the previous films during the credits. Seriously, what happened? It has a Roseanne and Tom Arnold cameo FFS.
1-2, 4-6 are on HBO Max. I thought it was weird I had to go rent 3, but it's the best of the franchise so I guess it's not that surprising they're milking it.
side note: Eight Ball Deluxe is in 3. There is what appears to be a 60s William EM pin in 6 but I couldn't ID it and didn't see it on some of the sites that list pinballs in movies.
I need to go try to find the Gottlieb machine. It looks like it has some neat toys on it.
Now that you've seen those, checkout New Nightmare with Wes Craven back at the helm. It is an internal look at the series itself from within in a good way, IMO. If considered part of the series, it is one of the best.

Why is everyone left handed ?
A good question and another of life's many mysteries... I look forward to seeing you before too long and we can discuss it in person.
Quoted from dnapac:This! This is exactly why I am a Spooky fan for life. The whole company is run this way. Not only do they make awesome games, they 100% stand behind them and will bend over backwards to help the individual. I blew up my ACNC and Luke and the rest spent hours helping me…mainly after hours. Rock solid games from a rock solid company and family.
Yes, it is the rule with Spooky not the exception.
Quoted from rotordave:With Spookys blessing, we will be selling Ultraman CE#6, which is being made now.
Funds raised will go towards getting a new base for NZ Pinball to run from. It’s a project I’ve been working on for a while.
The Ultraman #6 CE machine will be ready to leave Benton in a few weeks.
Easy deal - just pay Spooky direct and we will sort it out. Either collect it yourself from Spooky, or we can sort out freight around the States at your cost.
If you’re interested in buying it, feel free to PM me offers.
Cheers!
Dave.
BUMP for being the last post on the previous thread. Good luck!
Quoted from NightMutilator:Halloween is by far one of the most influential films of my life and all I can say is I am doing every possible thing I can do to live up to the high bar John Carpenter set. I literally have been working day/night to make this shine. Moreover, I know the very high standards pinball enthusiasts have and want to make each and every owner proud to show this amazing machine off to everyone they know.
