Quoted from hawkmoon:NO,I own a RZ if you care to check!!
You have the ONLY Rick and Zorty?
Or, are you just talking out your ass about Rick and Morty? Because I have one. Needed 3 switch adjustments so far. I feel like I was ripped off!
Quoted from Calfdemon:I'm fairly certain he knows that RZ is Rob Zombie. I believe he was blasting Hawkmoon for slamming Rick & Morty when he has never owned one. When HM responded with the fact he had a RZ, Guitarted inquired as to whether he has a Rick & Zorty since he keeps talking shit (in multiple threads) about a game he has never owned.
Gotta follow along here folks... Lol
This guy didn't go to school just to eat his lunch, people.
Goonies made an impact? On whom?
I can't imagine anyone (but Deeproot?) thinking that was a viable Pinball Theme. I don't know that it would outsell Food Truck.
Quoted from oneballjab:On whom? You’re joking right?
How about half of the 80’s!
I was in the age group you talk about when that movie was released. Shit, I sat through it in a theatre for a friend's 14th BDay party, maybe?
I don't know a single person who has ever mentioned it again, since.
Hell. Adventures in Babysitting gets mentioned and not the Goonies.
I just don't see it as a viable option at all.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Google- “90% of people like this movie” I was born in 82’...myself, my older friend’s and a majority of 90’s kids consider this a beloved classic adventure film. Because it IS. Just because you’re in the 10% of people who would rather watch the Fast and the furious doesn’t mean the film isn’t known and loved by quite literally everyone...but you. Next subject...
Obviously you are without clue. Also, not really thinking about appeal for a manufacturer / operator but appeal for yourself.
I think the Fast and Furious Franchise is shit. But, I recognize it has 1000x the appeal of a Goonies Pin.
Like I said, my experience indicates that nobody has much interest in one.
Was Ghostbusters considered a successful Pin? I sure as hell don't see anyone looking for one in a the arcade or for their collections. And I would not compare the popularity of the Ghostbusters franchise with The Goonies.
Quoted from dnapac:You’re very black and white about this
I did preface that with 'In my experience' for a reason. I am not assuming that in the entire population of Pinball Fans there is no interest. We wouldn't be having the discussion if that was the case.
I just have not encountered a single pinhead who has mentioned their desire for a Goonies Machine.
Read a few here, and they are obviously huge fans of the Movie (can't really call it a franchise), but not once in all the years of people putting out their 'Dream Themes' have I had someone mention The Goonies to me .
...and Jaws and Harry Potter come in at (statistically) the same numbers. The Matrix, even higher.
Maybe you should concentrate on Maths?
You would learn that Polling is essentially useless as it is based strictly on the population of the Poll not of the potential consumer base.
Honestly, does anyone actually believe a Harry Potter pin would sell less than a BTTF, Jaws, Goonies, Beetlejuice Pin?
No. You don't.
And again, not endorsing the Franchise by pointing that out...just noting that a manufaturer would be insane to pass a theme like that (HP) to produce any of the others.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:I already won this battle just based on the fact that my screen name isn’t a joke about mentally handicapped people like guitarded is.
I know whose milkshake brings you to the yard.
And I would be rude to not point out that when you are signaling your virtue, you should use the proper terminology :
Cognitively Delayed.
Wouldn't want you to offend someone with your ignorance.
Strokin' it to chubby children will take it out of a guy.
Have another Tide pod. You'll feel better.
Black Sabbath would be high on my list.
Always wished someone had made a Futurama when the timing was right for it...
Another direction I'd love to see happen would be for Sci-Fi Fantasy Themes that haven't already become big franchises. Sanderson, Jordon, Slavatore....so many others that could make great machines and be right in the wheelhouse for the smaller company production runs.
Dresden Files
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Moderation notice hitting your inbox in 3...2...1...
Call the Wah-mbulance.
Quoted from benheck:"Buying" implies a price of more than ZERO DOLLARS was offered.
Kind of like "Selling" implies having an actual product.
Quoted from benheck:This isn't a misdirection. IT IS NOT BEETLEJUICE.
I notice you only claim that Once.
Quoted from Ecw0930:The R&M game sucks
Obviously you have never plunged a ball on one.
Quoted from Zablon:Doesn't even like the theme, why would like the pin?
I don't like any of the Marvel Themes or JP for that matter...some great f'n pins, though.
How could you lose interest in a pin that has not been announced yet?
Maybe it is time for you guys to hit up the RAZA Pre-Order Thread and bum a bowl of what those guys are smoking?
Quoted from desertT1:WOZ: Killer Corpse Edition
If that corpse is a Hooker, that's not funny!
Quoted from benheck:Pinotaur (and BTW it's a Parker Dillmann-Ben Heck joint not just me) also has current sensing for MOSFETs and servo drivers. The system can detect and troubleshoot FET faults and there's a safety relay if something goes wrong. There's also a dual bank bootloader so if you need to update firmware and something goes wrong you can revert back a version by holding a button combo on boot - making it BRICK PROOF.
This is fantastic.
Quoted from SantaEatsCheese:I wonder how this will compare to G&R and Mando?
Well. For one :
I am excited to buy it.
So No comparison at all, here.
Quoted from Damonator:How can you be excited to buy something when you have no idea what the theme is???
Only way I would opt out is if it was something lame, like The Goonies.
Quoted from paulbaptiste:Kaneda posted that he talked to Charlie this morning, and no announcement today.
*Shake-Weight*
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:both those themes may as well be Golden Shower.
That's the Wizard Mode in the Upcoming On Golden Pond pin.
Quoted from benheck:And yet he's always right....
Making multiple guesses tends to increase your odds at that.
Guy is a douche.
Quoted from benheck:Also got Cliffhanger and Maltese Falcon today.
I think I have a copy of a Peter Gabriel LD in my basement? Passion of the Christ soundtrack era, iirc.
Quoted from TheFamilyArcade:DeepRoot DeepSix non reveal? Lol. Nothing. Will. Ever. Come. Close.
"On the Fifth Day of Deeproot, Robert promised me..."
Quoted from SpookyCharlie:Anyone else into vinyl?
My racks are holding about 7-8k sleeves.
Quoted from PoMC:5 scoops cannot equal terrific flow. But let’s see.
If they are utilizing the staged ball, a la R&M, shouldn't be a problem with maintaing flow.
Quoted from Frax:There was literally a new Ultraman show released on Netflix like what...2-3 months ago?
I had/have no idea what Ultraman was/is, either.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:I’m out on both, ya’ll have fun though. Not to be rude but I’m not sure how much I trust Bug as rule-meister. From the rules I’ve read I’m anticipating dissatisfaction from serious pinball players.
I am not worried re. Ruleset.
AND I am looking forward to not having to read any more of your comments...
so, Win/Win.
Quoted from kciaccio:I was really hyped about getting the CE for Halloween but seeing Ultraman reskin has weirded me out about going all the way for the Halloween pin. It feels like it lessened Halloween uniqueness of the Halloween pin....Anybody feel this way?
Nope.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:Thousands and thousands of dollars that Spooky missed out on.
How?
They set a Price and had a limit for production and Sold Out.
They didn't miss out on a dime.
Quoted from dnapac:Ok, if this is the “next spooky” thread…here ya go. Pet Cemetery. The house, the road, the climb to the cemetery, the cemetery, the neighbors house…all good stuff.
The Ramones!
Quoted from brerspidur:I know Spooky is doing there best to organize the orders, but it would be great if they could let us know what the first machine order number was, so we could have an idea based on our order numbers.
The Order #'s are almost meaningless when it comes to the order built. We learned this during Rick and Morty sales.
Between the early crowd (Operators, etc.), distro orders and consolidating the overseas shipments...
the order #'s shouldn't follow production in any meaningful way.
When you get your Machine #, you will have a much better idea of when your game will be built.
Quoted from skink91:I really do want to listen to something new that’s great… just firmly not convinced anything new of substance musically has come out in the last couple decades. Please let me know what it might be… I have tried and found it all to be shite.
Colemine Records.
Too many great bands to list them all.
Quoted from Billygrippo:And if it’s a licensing issue, as seemed to be claimed.....
Then turn off the sound.....
Obviously you have a TON of experience in the Licensing realm.
Quit bitching and be patient. They said they were hoping to get us Gameplay by the end of the month.
Quoted from Zablon:No. At least not if you are thinking of it as an 'investment'.
Completely disagree on this one.
The Butter Cabinet will be about the only option that sets a CE apart on these machines. Besides. It's amazing. Like furniture instead of a pinball cabinet.
Unless you know your machine will always be buried in a lineup and not occasionally on the end or standing alone, it is an option to consider.
Quoted from Zablon:Still not worth it as an investment.
As an Investment, no.
To maximize your resale in the future on a HUO machine...you better believe a butter cab will bring a premium over one without.
As I said before, it is the only Upgrade from the stock CE. The LE/CE Collectors will pony up for it.
You might not be willing to. And certainly others will agree. But there is always a guy who wants the full board of available options.
Quoted from Billygrippo:So it’s ok to rag on me, but I can’t have opinions? You guys get riled up quickly
Honestly. You aren't worth wasting an opinion on.
I can't see complaining about how the display looks on a Video Stream. Same with the lighting and the sound.
These are not things that have much chance of coming across well in a Stream Setting.
Both games looked like they played great. Not a lot of issues there that can't be ascribed to mics, and setup.
Very excited to be in on an UMce.
Quoted from Wariodolby:If spooky wants to dethrone Addams Family and sell 20k plus pins this is the theme to do to ![quoted image]
Put. The Candle. BACK!
Quoted from TreyBo69:TNA probably is their best overall game. Rick and Morty would be if it shot better.
When you hit your shots it shoots fine.
Quoted from yaksplat:Is anyone else nervous about Spooky making Scooby Doo? It's one of my grail themes so I'm hoping that they can do the theme justice.
Nope.
Quoted from Roostking:TNA vs Godzilla
Lol. No contest
I'd take the new TNA.
All day, every day. Godzilla doesn't do anything for me. Rather have an Iron Maiden.
Quoted from Tyler_Durden:10K upfront for a new game, that may or may or not work properly, and no back end support. Nah i'm good.
Well, judging from your extensive collection and ownership history I am gonna guess that exactly Zero companies will reap the bennefit of your NIB pinball dollars.
Quoted from Tyler_Durden:What do you mean, am I supposed to post what I own on here to have a valid opinion?
You do.
It's right there in your handle.
And since you show a T2 as your only machine and no history of being a NIB purchaser, I think you sniffed out where I was going with my comment.
Well done.
Quoted from Tyler_Durden:I would not do it again like that. It's very risky to pay in full to any company who does not have a finished product ready for you. Anything can happen including bankruptcy and you can lose it all, it happens all of the time to great companies large and small. Google PHARMAPACKS news, now I'm not saying that is the case here
Except. You are.
Spooky is not going bankrupt and a re=run of TNA is something people have been clamboring for.
You don't want one, don;t buy one. But your disposition is definitely not sensible or warranted.
Quoted from Tyler_Durden:I did not say they were going bankrupt.
You did. No less than 3 times you cited Bankruptcy as a concern.
As for Halloween / Ultraman, there was no crisis for anyone but those who thought they could maybe make a few bucks by getting in line.
Quoted from jimwe5t:This is a completely false narrative created by Spooky apologists
You sound sane.
Just kidding.
Quoted from dnapac:…including a better economy.
There's a chance that could happen in the next 4-5 years. I wouldn't bet my box of used coils on it, though.
Quoted from Zablon:Agreed, and in the case of the Medusa...I love that game, but even HEP doesn't make it worth what is being asked.
I'd love that HEP Flash Gordon, though. Just bad timing.
Quoted from benheck:Hm so how does one solve not getting enough deep sleep? I can be awoken with mouse farts.
Get up with the sun and do something physical every day. Never hear a Farmer / Rancher complaining about not getting good sleep.
Quoted from PinStalker:Halloween looks fine, but Ultraman..... nope.
I hope they do better this time but history isn't kind.
Ultraman is one of the best looking pins in just about any collection.
That doesn't begin to mention the quantity of theme material / assets that are in the machine.
They nailed the Theme integration on BOTH Halloween and Ultraman. Something that is becoming a strong suit for Spooky.
Playfield and Coding is the same between the two games.
How someone could differentiate one from the other makes no sense, beyond preference for Theme. It is beyond me to comprehend.
Quoted from TreyBo69:Looney Tunes Bloodsucker’s Edition looks so silly in writing.
I am just glad it isn't an Animaniacs Pin or I would already be lined up.
