Was Dominos Pizza a good run for Spooky? Is there another of that type in the years coming , or was that a one and done deal.
I am thinking the latter...

I think the Jetsons was another run like that.

Yes, Little Ceasars "Pizza Pizza"
Take my hot and ready $5 right now
I can see them doing it based something mainly around the “Dracula” character such as:
“Dracula’s Terror In Transylvania”
Or if they’d want the more comedic approach:
“Dracula’s Bed & Breakfast in Transylvania”
-They can have various famous monsters staying in the castle. (Think Monster Bash)
You people need to stop with the niche and obscure titles already!!!
Spooky did Rick and Morty, the most searched for title on Hulu for almost a year. They are not dumb enough to go backwards and do some ambiguous theme that only .05% of the population even gives two shits about. I know some theme's thrown around were in jest, but the amount of sincere, HORRIBLE suggestions is just f'ing redickulous. (spelling error intentional)
HOLY SHIT...Where's the tylenol...
I’m spending entirely too much time in this thread, I dreamed last night about Spooky’s next theme...it was:
Quicksilver 2.0 licensed from Stern Electronics...the horror portion of the project was Mirco was tasked to make the playfields.

You're right. The next pin is a horror pin...we were soo wrong...so wrong...
google (resized).JPGhere's my idea for a theme
it's a theme based on some normal dude. john's pinball madness. get married reverse multiplier. have triplets multiball. go the fuck to work jackpot.

How bout a guinea pig theme? You could raise them, groom them, feed them, breed em, clean out their little shits from the cages....
All the callouts would be oinks and weet weeeeeets
Think of all the possibilities...
This is the best idea I have heard yet - I ask again... SPOOKY ARE YOU LISTENING????

YES! Best Idea I have heard yet. Edwins story!
For those who don't know the incredible journey Me and Edwin and Strange Science had..

Quoted from oopsallberrys:I would much rather a Gerbil theme starring Lemmiwinks
I can hear the song in my head without even playing it.
Quoted from benheck:I still think somebody should make a Duck Tales pinball.
Ben are you making Duck Tales?
I feel at this point, he really wants to. Another theme that while I liked as a kid...the nostalgia isn't enough to spend 9k on it. Same with He-Man and Scooby.

If someone was to go that route, why not just do Disney Afternoon?
Quoted from Coindork:If someone was to go that route, why not just do Disney Afternoon?
yeah while we're scooping up affordable Disney IPs, might as well buy 'em in bulk
Quoted from flukevfx:Escher? Labyrinth?
It had better not be Labyrinth. I am working on that as a homebrew right now…
Aladdin makes more sense as a game than Lion King
It’s just generic go on an adventure and occasionally stop the evil wizard.
Lion King is…Hamlet. It would be amusing to watch the game eject a bunch of balls onto the playfield and a mournful Simba says “time to get up flipper” while the flipper is dead.

No way Disney would let that happen. The 90's have been canceled until further notice.
Good point Trey. Disney loves remaking "Hamlet in Africa" see also Black Panther!
That's why Duck Tales would be good. It's a show about travel and adventure = variety. I encourage people to think about rules/code potential when discussing themes!
I think I'd prefer almost anything from Dreamworks over Disney actual properties...but then I'm not a Disney person...except now we're all forced to be Disney people...speaking of Monopoly.....oh wait...that's already been done.
Quoted from Jgaltr56:No way Disney would let that happen. The 90's have been canceled until further notice.
The 90s haven't been cancelled Disney just has nothing left to strip-mine from it (so now they make origin movies about women who skin dogs)
Quoted from benheck:The 90s haven't been cancelled Disney just has nothing left to strip-mine from it (so now they make origin movies about women who skin dogs)
and a sequel to it, that isn't the actual sequel...<mind blown>
But I guess if they can do it with Alien.....and Cinderella....and...Willy Wonka.

Follow it up with TaleSpin!

Bill & Ted! Travel through time, he’ll & back, rock out, save the world. Boom.

Sold!

They’ve also been redoing all those wonderfully hand animated cartoons into modern CGI live action stuff. Haven’t seen any of them, but people seem to like those? At least curious enough to try them out.
Hollywood and pinball are similar in some ways. They’re both really into big bets on nostalgic properties. The demographic is a bit different, but not that dissimilar. If Hollywood is willing to toss a couple hundred million on a nostalgic reboot, the theme probably has some merit for generating pinball sales. Of course it still depends on if a sensible game can be formed from the original story elements, or provide a backdrop for new adventures. And hopefully provide inspiration for a unique mech or two.

“You may be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper”
Quoted from benheck:A Disney themed pin with nice clean 2D art would make MAJOR BANK.
Maybe Lion King, Aladdin?
The new one "Raya and the Last Dragon" would probably make a good pin. 5 lands, 5 stones to collect. Uncancelled.
I also think Spiderman into the Verse would be AMAZING. Art would be sick, lots of heros, villians. They are making a sequel next year.
I do agree with the clean artwork. The theme also works really well, it's basically just an Indiana Jones type adventure hunting for treasures and solving mysteries.
Cruella is a pre-quel not a sequel.
Quoted from Zablon:and a sequel to it, that isn't the actual sequel...<mind blown>

I'm going to have to tone down my obscure jokes and references apparently. The mood in here has turned from people having fun to people just wanting to shit on others theme ideas and tell everyone why they are wrong.
Since some of these suggestions have become a bit insane I’ll go with
“2 girls one cup”
Can repurpose the cups from Williams Diner.

Those Diner cup repros are awfully expensive....
