Another prototype peace of new game?

I don't even think I can begin to speculate what that nondescript plastic cube could be.

Hellraiser puzzle box?? ehhhh.

#12853 3 months ago

Does anyone else think the shape of this teaser piece of the next Spooky game looks a lot like the Family Truckster from National Lampoon’s Vacation movie? It’s not a typical ‘Spooky’ theme, but that pea green paint and wood paneling is scary!

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

They might want to get ahead of Jaws?

100 percent!! They would be making a huge mistake to allow Stern to announce first.

This is the best theory I've seen. It is a physical ball lock to load the family up in to the ol' truckster.

The holes on the outer edges tells me its just the backboard of the playfield.
The slots most likely hold ramps like ever other back board.
The four holes are hopefully a pass through for ramps or subways.

The holes are probably just lights

In other pictures you can see the screw holes on the outer rim edges.
Spaced out just like screws that hold backboard onto the playfield.

#12860 3 months ago

Holds the red lights for when you start basement mode in Texas Chainsaw.

#12861 3 months ago

Where you at spooky……
Gonna drop some shit on stern, or what……?

#12862 3 months ago

How bout some code outa the gate while your at it to knock out some of the competition!

#12863 3 months ago

Chainsaw upper playfield. The holes will be pictures of which 4 family members you have battled on the chainsaw motor.

I'd like to know how balls may fit into the holes, could it be a staggered physical ball lock?

#12865 3 months ago

Another “clue”. Knapp Arcade livestream half hour ago.IMG_2899 (resized).pngIMG_2899 (resized).pngIMG_2900 (resized).pngIMG_2900 (resized).png

#12866 3 months ago

Looks like a back panel wall. The cut outs remind me of Bond on a Wand

Maybe a chainsaw will cut through the backwall if certain rumors are to be believed. Or maybe a place to hide some locked balls.

#12867 3 months ago

I mean it's so obvious. It's When Harry Met Sally.

#12868 3 months ago

Looks like something that was used as backer on a drill press.
Spooky is sending out red-herring "clues" from the woodscrap pile.

Also for those interested, the other items in the box that I saw was a swag pack, scooby playfield, and scooby translite.

Dream theme.

Chainsaw upper playfield.

Didn't they state recently that this will be a single playfield game?

#12871 3 months ago

Beetlejuice. What other company deserves this IP more than Spooky? It releases fall next year (Beetlejuice 2). I don't know how all these other IPs got a pinball over the years except Beetlejuice. It lends itself to pinball so well.

As much as I'd love to see another horror theme, this has so much more mass appeal. I wouldn't be upset about it.

#12873 3 months ago

I would actually vote against Beetlejuice, because much like TS4, if it is going to be aligned with the new movie, it will most likely be THAT movie theme, and we don't know if that movie sucks yet.

NEED Child's play. Callouts with Brad Dourif alone would be worth it. He's getting up their in age, folks. Hurry up

#12875 3 months ago

Zen Pinballs Chucky just dropped today, along with The Thing, Duke nukem and Dead by Dawn. Downloading it now.

Id love child's play but only the first 3 movies...the new show is horrible .

#12878 3 months ago

The Knapp one is the back and the "chainsaw" one goes into it. You can see the tabs

#12879 3 months ago

Draw it up Jordy.

#12880 3 months ago

I see it. Chainsaw upper playfield confirmed?

#12881 3 months ago

Yup chainsaw upper PF

#12883 3 months ago

IF they do an upper, why would they make it look like a chainsaw?? A toy or a gimmick sure, but no way in hell they’d make it the playfield. In all seriousness like the other wood scrap “clue” we got I think it’s just another nondescript backboard piece.

That’s like saying “that’s Michael’s knife as an upper playfield!” It just does not make sense or lend itself to good game design.

Need to record Tobin Bell for Saw, Robert Englund for the Freddy remake and Doug Bradley for Hellraiser! Quick- get them now! We’ll wait. Releases for years! And Tim Curry for Clue and Rocky Horror!

#12885 3 months ago

I say hold both pieces up to the sun and turn it till a shape appears, like some sort of resident evil puzzle. What if it was resident evil…..

Is Texas Chainsaw Massacre a "true story"?

#12887 3 months ago
Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Is Texas Chainsaw Massacre a "true story"?

It's based loosely on the story of Ed Gein. Who was also the inspiration for Buffalo Bill & Norman Bates.

#12890 3 months ago

Pops are fun. Pop clusters without danger are not.

I kinda hope they don't do another upper playfield...but I know they love them

Quoted from TreyBo69:Pops are fun. Pop clusters without danger are not.

The pop on R&M is the best. Makes me wish Scooby had one on the right that could pop the ball into the drop targets on the left.

I’m also ready for a pin without an upper playfield after buying Halloween and Scooby.

#12892 3 months ago
Quoted from monitorpop:

Scooby did add that third sling on the lower right side, about where that pop would be. Kinda achieves something similar, though I agree...I'd possibly prefer a pop. But it would change the geometry on the far right shot

That’s like saying “that’s Michael’s knife as an upper playfield!” It just does not make sense or lend itself to good game design.

This won't happen , but it would be neat to have a moving ramp ala Gottlieb Wipe Out that had chainsaw type ridges to carry the ball up to the playfield.

#12894 3 months ago

Since everyone is so sure it is TCM, we can pretty much rule that one out.

#12895 3 months ago

SantaEatsCheese should update the poll so we can place our bets

Also, saw Spooky say they are not attending Pincinatti this year.

#12896 3 months ago

Spooky should make Willy’s Wonderland
Seriously, that would be so good and the IP can’t be much.
(For those who haven’t seen this, it’s “chuckie cheese” animatons possessed by evil)

#12897 3 months ago

I can respect a Willy’s wonderland request, but for what it’s worth they would probably (and should probably) do five nights at Freddy’s instead.

Watched both movies - Five Nights is like a kids version of Willys.

Both would work for pin themes.

I don’t think there’s been a Nick Cage pinball before? Nothing comes to mind …
